Chapter 596: What are we going to do about this guy?
It was not Axel’s nature to snoop in his brother’s business. Not that he was scared Dominic would get angry. Matter of fact, he knew his brother wouldn’t care much if Axel would eavesdrop even in the most important meeting. It was just that Axel didn’t have a lot of interest in them.
Even so, Axel was curious.
Just why did Dominic and Heaven call for their security unit at this hour? Was it that important that they couldn’t wait for it until tomorrow? Would there be another incident just like that one time over a year ago?
Myriads of questions hovered over Axel’s mind, and he wanted a slight reassurance. If it was important, they should let him know too so he could prepare! As a resolution, when Axel reached the family room, he simply knocked quietly. Unlike the aggressive knocks he did earlier, this time, even he barely heard his knocking.
"Brother," he whispered with a thin voice, opening the door cautiously. "I’m coming in."
Axel peeked his head in quietly, making sure he wouldn’t make a sound. Dominic’s rule was that Axel could stay in the meeting room and listen to the discussion freely. However, all he was asking of his little brother was not to disturb the discussion. That was what Axel was doing right now.
"So, Silas had taken the bite?" the first remark Axel heard was Bear’s remark, making Axel furrow his brows and scan the family room.
"Though the bite is a little shallow," Heaven commented nonchalantly.
Axel looked around the family room with his head peeking in between the jamb and door. His hand held the knob still, observing the people inside.
