Axel stepped on the brake abruptly, changing his mind for any grand entrance. He leaned forward due to the force of action, gripping the steering wheel with both his hands.
"Are you guys okay?!" he asked as soon as he recovered, looking back at Heaven and Dominic.
Dominic held his wife’s shoulder, assisting her from the sudden halt. Both of them bounced back slightly, gazing up at Axel in the driver’s seat.
"Don’t do that," Dominic remarked, turning his head to his wife to check on her. "Are you alright, darling?"
"Yes, I’m fine. Thank you." Heaven sported a quick smile, snapping her eyes at the windshield. "Turn off the lights, Axel."
"Uh... right." As instructed, Axel turned off the lights to not alert anyone in the abandoned building from their vantage point. He then lowered his head, hands over the steering wheel, eyes on the dark establishment ahead.
"Goodness..." he whispered, sensing this dread creeping up his spine. "This place is something I will never step foot in in my life — where are the other people?"
