"Axel, did you really think that incident... is the first time Andrea Ng tried to kill me?"
Deep lines resurfaced in between Axel’s brows at Heaven’s question. This was the first time he had heard of this. After all, when that incident happened, he wasn’t on good terms with Heaven yet. Moreover, Dominic only moved his family to the penthouse right after that incident to prevent his wife from recalling such an unfortunate incident.
In other words, they didn’t talk about it. But now, she was saying that night wasn’t the first time Andrea Ng attempted to kill her.
"Sis..." Axel shook his head mildly, trying his best to keep himself together. "What do you mean by that? That maid tried to kill you before that night?"
"Yes. The first time was the perfect chance to frame Dominic Zhu." This time, Bear summarized it, not going into details since it was unnecessary. "Fortunately, the young madam survived. However, she didn’t know who tried to kill her that night until Andrea Ng approached her to finish the job."
Another wave of silence dominated the vehicle as Axel absorbed every little information he heard just now.
"Does my brother know about this?" he blurted out, darting his eyes to the woman beside him and then at the person in the driver’s seat. "He doesn’t?"
"It didn’t matter," Heaven answered.
"How come it doesn’t matter?!" Axel frowned, a little disappointed and confused. "I don’t see the reason you have to keep these things a secret!"
