Chapter 365: Complacent
"Dom is being weird." Heaven huffed, scratching her temple with her index. "He kept giving me this odd gaze, which is strange."
She turned to the person she dragged to the balcony to listen to her rant. Bear raised his brows, staring at her with slight confusion.
"Is this the reason you asked your husband and son to run you an errand?" he asked, a little confused about his role here. "Because your husband’s upset you?"
"No?" Heaven shrugged, folding her arms under her chest. "I mean, maybe? It’s because of this girl."
"A girl?"
"This girl who saved him in the past."
Bear blinked, waiting for her to give him some more details to understand where she was coming from. Seeing that look on his face, a deep huff slipped past her nostril.
"Had I mentioned Dominic was kidnapped when he was a child?" she asked, and Bear shook his head. "Well, now you know."
"What about it?"
"He said there was this little girl who saved him." Heaven sighed once more, throwing her back on the couch. "I didn’t mind back then, but all of a sudden, he kept having dreams about her. What if she’s my husband’s first love? A twin flame? Is this the point that a love rival appears in the story?"
"Uh..." Bear ran his tongue across his inner cheek, assessing the level of seriousness in her eyes.
