Chapter 336: Flat line
Everything happened so fast that barely anyone could grasp the situation. They took Paula and Manager Chu into custody, but because Paula fainted, they had to take her to the hospital. It was the same for Manager Chu because of her crash from Bear’s aggressiveness.
Since this was a huge case, the authorities executed an investigation and formed a team immediately.
However, regardless of what was happening behind the scene, Dominic’s mind was all about his wife’s well-being. On their way to the hospital, Heaven’s vitals were very unstable. They had to resuscitate her at least twice, including this one.
"Heaven, Heaven..." Dominic called with a jagged breath, running along with the group of medical personnel as they rush Heaven to the emergency.
One doctor was on top of Heaven, pumping her chest to keep her alive.
"Please..." His eyes blurred with the thick layer of tears coating his eyes. Dominic wasn’t completely aware of his wife’s condition, but with how the situation was unfolding right before his eyes, he knew it was bad.
When they were almost in the emergency room, a doctor stopped and placed his hand on Dominic’s chest.
"Mr. Zhu, I’m sorry, but you can’t go in," said the Doctor, pressing his lips into a thin line as helplessness shone in Dominic’s eyes. "Don’t worry. We’ll do our best to save the madam."
Dominic’s neck turned taut, trying to keep his breathing consistent, but it kept skipping. He wanted to argue with the doctor, but he was still sane enough to understand their protocol. This wasn’t an establishment where he could just do whatever he wanted. These people had his wife’s life in their hands.
"Please... bring her back to me." His voice shook, receiving a quick smile from the doctor and a slight nod.
"We’ll do our best."
