Chapter 318: [Bonus - ]The afterparty II
The loud music that could make one’s blood pump, the flashing lights, and the electrifying atmosphere filled the afterparty. The crowd was a mix of people from all walks of life, dancing, and socializing, making the most of this party.
The vibrant energy was contagious, but Paula simply sat lazily in the corner with a blank face.
Her back had almost fused with the couch, legs stretched out lazily, eyes barely blinking. She was just blank, having no poise or awareness of her surrounding. Her eyes were open, but her mind was just blank.
Soon, however, the music penetrated the pin-drop silence in her mind, albeit it sounded a little distant. The lively chattering slowly grew audible and after another few seconds, Paula gasped for air as she blinked.
"Haha!" the first thing she heard loud and clear was everyone’s laughter.
Paula blinked, confused. She looked around at the people, catching a few people melting in their seats with a blank expression. Some of them were just talking and laughing, only to stop when they saw her coming back from the lalaland.
"So? How’s the experience?" Paula flinched when a person’s breath caressed the shell of her ear, turning to see the person who made him drink. "I told you it’s harmless. It’ll just make you a little... blank. Nothing crazy."
Nothing crazy?
Paula mentally scoffed, trying to clear up her foggy mind. Her hands were still a little numb and her muscles felt more relaxed. Seeing that some of the people around the table were just staring blankly into nothingness made her realize she was like that for a moment.
"It’s good if you want to relax your mind, but if you want to have fun, then you add more dose," said the man, stroking Paula’s thighs that made her freeze on the spot. "Do you want more? I’ll give you more. My treat."
Paula looked at the man squarely, feeling this fear creeping up her spine. She wanted to slap this man’s hand from her thigh, but she was so frozen in fright that all she could do was stare at him.
