If Primo was out of the picture, Heaven would’ve sentenced Paula without dragging this to this extent. Her plans for her demise were easy. Something that would make Paula forget about acting altogether, or simply for her to regret betraying the person whom she claimed to be her sister, her family.
But Primo suddenly came and changed everything.
What made it worse was that the man approached Paula, thinking he could go closer to Dominic. If the new soul wasn’t in this body, she could imagine just how close this man could’ve gotten in such a short time.
After all, Primo was already living in the same building even before he let himself known to Heaven.
Just what could be this man’s plan?
What did he want?
And just how far would he go to get it?
Myriads of questions had filled Heaven’s mind ever since meeting Primo for the first time. Primo never hid his intention from Heaven, after all. And that was what made him even scarier. He wouldn’t reveal that he was simply using Paula if he didn’t have any useful cards to play. Hence, the reason Heaven was approaching this matter with caution.
"Did I fall for your trap?" Heaven looked around the private dining room before setting her eyes on the man across from her. "I don’t see Paula around."
Primo chuckled. "I told her to come. Be patient, dear. Or do you want my company?"
"Do I look like someone who needs your company, Mr. Primo?" Heaven fluttered her eyelashes ever so tenderly. "You are using my dearest friend. So, it is only natural I am hostile towards you."
