Meanwhile, in the LYON Group Headquarters, Dane Zhang’s gaze swept across the faces standing before them. He bit his bottom lips, looking at Dominic helplessly.
’They look like a bunch of rogues...’ Dane thought, hoping his boss would notice what he had noticed. ’Please don’t hire them. They scare me!’
Dominic sat in the armchair, studying the four bodyguards Bear recommended. He told Bear that his old colleague could come to the office within the week. It was a surprise they all came the next day. How diligent.
Even so, Dominic couldn’t help but notice their unique aura. Unlike Bear, who gave off a reliable vibe, these men looked a lot more relaxed. The other one even looked like he hadn’t showered his hair for weeks. There was one who looked like he was still in his teen, and then a woman who had more masculine facial features than any of them in the room. The other guy looked normal, though, though he quite had a huge size.
’A she-man, a fatty, a youngster, and a guy who lacks hygiene!’ Dane already labeled them in his mind, unable to hide his reluctance toward these bodyguards. ’They don’t seem reliable at all!’
"Mr. Zhang, hand me their resumes." Dominic opened his palm to the side while Dane hurriedly placed the folder in Dominic’s hand.
"Mr. Cruel recommended you to me, but you still have to go through thorough screening," said Dominic as he opened the folders. "I hope you understand that your job, if you were hired, is the most important thing for me."
"Do not worry about it, Boss!" the guy who seemed he hadn’t showered for weeks saluted. "Bear Cruel already told us about the job! You can rely on us!’
’That’s foolish!’Dane Zhang bit his tongue to stop himself from slamming the man’s claims. ’How can we rely on you when you don’t even take care of yourself?! Boss... don’t hire these guys! He doesn’t even know how to salute!’
