When Heaven came into Axel’s apartment, she understood why Bear was making such a face. Standing by the living area, Heaven let out a deep exhale.
"He’s been like this?" she asked Bear quietly.
"Yes." Bear stopped several steps beside her, eyes on the person laying on the couch in the living room. "He was upset with the master and the little master and dragged me with him, saying I am his only friend."
"Friend?" Heaven glanced at Bear, only to see him shrug.
Since when did Axel and Bear become friends? To be honest, Bear also didn’t know. But that was Axel’s words.
"Goodness." Heaven shook her head as she set her eyes on Axel. "Look at him. He ordered so much food and now he’s in a food coma."
BURP!
Both Heaven and Bear scrunched their nose up as Axel burped so loudly. Although they didn’t smell anything, their expression said otherwise. They could imagine what it smelled like.
"I am lost for words," she mumbled, shaking her head in disbelief. She came here for a reason, but she didn’t expect Axel to try to kill himself by overeating. Not to mention, he even dragged Bear, considering Bear just came back from his vacation leave.
"I’ll just come back tomorrow," she muttered, realizing she wasn’t emotionally available to coax her brother-in-law. Heaven had so many more important things to do than this. After all, she might have finally met the mastermind behind Andrea Ng’s crime.
"You’re going to leave him?" Bear frowned, looking at her as if he expected her to save him from this situation.
