Thick smoke ascended into the air as the car made a turn, leaving tire marks on the road. Both Heaven and Axel bent and pulled back due to the gravity force, stopping as the vehicle halted for a moment.
Vroom!
Axel revved up the engine, keeping his hands securely on the steering wheel. His eyes were ahead, seeing that those guys who had been following them were gone. He could’ve sighed in relief since he finally got rid of those people, but no. All thanks to his sister-in-law.
"Just tell me one thing." He breathed out a jagged breath, facing her squarely. "Are you sure you will not be in trouble if you confront those guys?"
She blinked ever so tenderly while holding his gaze. "Hundred — no, two hundred percent."
"How?"
"Hmm?"
"How will you fight them?" he asked, planting his hand across his chest. "Sis, I can throw punches, but against a group of five people, I am not very confident myself! I can help, but not much! How are you sure you will not get hurt?"
’Wow...’Heaven assessed his face and the thousand unspoken words gleaming in his shaky eyes. ’For someone as arrogant as him to admit those things... he surely has some balls to admit he isn’t perfect. I think I’m liking this little brother-in-law more than I thought I would.’
"How?" she repeated in a questioning tone, unbuckling her seat while keeping her eyes on him. "Let’s switch places and I’ll show you how."
