Chapter 188: I was saying hello
As Heaven was fast asleep, probably dreaming of something far from reality, Bear continued to drive the car on a more secluded road. The cars on the road continued to decrease the more he drove off, but the car behind them kept following them.
Why?
As far as Bear knew, Heaven had no enemies that could put her in such a situation. He would understand it if it was Dominic because the man’s status was enough for him to be a target. But Heaven? Or did she make an enemy which she just hadn’t told anyone about?
Considering Heaven’s ’real’ colors, it wouldn’t be surprising if the answer was the latter.
’It still doesn’t make sense,’ Bear thought as his other hand let go of the steering wheel. ’It could be this is like another Andrea Ng incident.’
Bear shoved his hand inside his suit, taking out a pair of black leather gloves. Without taking his eyes off the road, he put on the gloves carefully. While doing so, he was thinking of reasons why it seemed Heaven was being targeted before he could confront these people.
Just like Andrea Ng, this person’s original target was Lionel Zhu, Dominic’s father. Following the unspoken rule in the underground, it was always an eye for an eye. Since Lionel was the person in charge of the LYON Group seventeen years ago, Andrea Ng targeted Dominic Zhu, so Lionel could understand the loss of a loved one.
