Chapter 178: Oh, Paula… this is just the beginning.
"Heaven, how can you not tell me anything?"
Heaven blinked, standing behind the allocated suite for Paula. "It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you," she answered innocently.
"Gosh." Paula frowned, disgruntled at Heaven’s presence in the filming.
Although Paula was already famous and had made a name for herself, this movie would be considered her biggest project yet. This would be her biggest break on the big screen, acting alongside veteran actors and the award-winning director.
How could she like the idea that Heaven was a part of it?!
"Paula, aren’t you happy?" Heaven frowned, forcing a tear out of her eyes. "I thought you will be happy if I accepted the role since it’s always been our dream to work on a project together. But if you don’t want me here, then I’d just call Dominic to pick me up."
’Our dream? That’s never in my plan — be it then or now!’ Paula bit her tongue to stop herself from cussing her out. However, she didn’t have any assumption Heaven purposely mentioned Dominic.
"Heaven, it’s not like that." Paula quickly changed her approach. "All I’m saying is, I felt like a fool that my best friend is already a part of this project and I’m the last person to know."
"But like I said... it was a surprise for your birthday. It wouldn’t be a surprise if I tell you." Heaven looked down. "Sorry."
