Chapter 126: Something he was proud of
After Heaven washed up, she went back to Sebastian’s bedroom. Dominic already left. According to Miriam, Dominic was already in his study, working. She didn’t want to disturb him, so she didn’t check on him and just went to watch her son.
’Just look at his face.’ Heaven sighed for the umpteenth time, sitting on the armchair beside her son’s bed. ’My poor baby. I really feel bad for him. If only I knew this would happen, I would’ve beaten her in the morning.’
Her frown continued to deepen, shrugging her thoughts away. ’Trust your husband. Right. I’m not the only one who makes decisions now. Compared to me, who only know how to put justice in my hands, Dominic was more... experienced in this side of the world.’
Heaven nodded, convinced by her thoughts. Even though only the worse could happen to that family, she had to be okay with not hurting them more. There was no need to sully her hands, even though snapping their necks was far too easy for her.
’Happy thoughts! Happy thoughts!’ Heaven cringed at the violent thoughts slowly occupying her head. ’Don’t fantasize about torturing them — that’s still a child!’
"I never thought a child could make me so angry like this," she murmured with another sigh. "Seriously. How can a parent teach their son like that? I’m hardly the person to say much about parenting, but anyone could tell it’s just plain twisted."
’But then again, I sort of understand that woman,’Heaven continued in her mind. ’I’d prefer my son hurting another instead of him getting beaten up.’
Twisted as it may sound, Heaven felt no shame in having such thoughts. Of course, it was much better if Sebastian grew up into a fine young man who wouldn’t abuse his power. But in instances like this, she wanted her son to fight back.
Surely, being a parent was no joke.
