"By the way, I might work for a little while."
"Hmm?" Dominic watched Heaven sit upright, facing him squarely. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well... I asked Senior Wu if I can have a small role in the upcoming project he would work on with Paula. He said there was a vacant role that, until now, hadn’t filled in," she explained in one go. "If Director Guan is fine with it, I’ll get the role. It’s a minor one, so I’d probably need to be in the set once or twice a week."
Her lips curled up, tilting her head to the side. "That’s okay, right?"
Of course, it was okay.
Dominic never asked her to stop her world when she got married. As he mentioned earlier, Heaven decided to stop acting altogether. However, despite that fact, Dominic felt a little reluctant.
Having Heaven go back to work was not the problem. The problem was he disliked that guy she was calling Senior Wu.
"I’m not stopping you," he said monotonously. "However, may I know why you want to work on that project in particular? Or had you been thinking of going back to work?"
"If it’s the latter, then I would’ve told you beforehand." Heaven chuckled, placing her hand on his thigh. "My decision was not in my plans, but I thought I should give it a go."
"And why is that?" he asked before he could even gravitate whether or not to ask.
"Because of Paula!" Heaven pouted, fluttering her eyelashes coquettishly. "I want to give her a surprise. Her birthday is coming up. She’s someone who can afford anything she wants, so the only gift I can give her is a memory of us working together."
