Chapter 168 The Wrong Set Of Consequences.
The look that rested on Gabriel’s face after Doctor Bailey’s words was like that of a doll turning on its neutral expression.
It was unreadable.
“I beg your pardon?”
“Your memories,” Doctor Bailey began, now doubting what he had seen earlier on when he asked Gabriel a question that he could only have remembered if he had his memories. “They’ve come back, haven’t they?”
Gabriel smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Doctor Bailey, I suggest you stop making assumptions, especially ones that could potentially hurt a person’s reputation.”
Doctor Bailey found himself speechless as Gabriel stepped forward and placed his hand on the elderly man’s shoulder.
“What type of person would I turn out to be if I regained my memories and didn’t inform you or Leonica? Don’t you think it’s a problem that could potentially ruin my name? Or worse, lose people close to me?” He whispered and squeezed his shoulder.
“I-I apologize Mr. Bryce,” Doctor Bailey stammered. “It was wrong of me to jump into conclusions.”
Gabriel removed his hand from his shoulder and stepped back. “It was. I hope this won’t ever repeat itself,” His eyes darkened. “Else, There’ll be a lot of consequences, especially for you.”
With that, he continued walking, not sparing a single glance at the elderly doctor.
He got out and once he was outside, he pulled out his phone and dialed Billy’s number.
