Laxus’s eyes widened like he realized something, then he suddenly launched a flurry of kisses in return and shouted, "Sorry!! I just— I love you so much, even the little-devil Rocco— I love every version of you!"
"Hehe. Yeah? Hehe... I love everything about you too, Laxus."
"Gahh! That’s too powerful!!"
Rocco tilted his head innocently as he said it, and Laxus dramatically collapsed, as if his limit had been reached.
While Rocco cuddled the clingy, love-struck Laxus repeating "I love you, I love you," he suddenly noticed several large shadows looming over them and blinked in surprise.
Looking up, he gasped sharply.
"Ugh. Disgusting. I can’t even look."
"Truly unbearable. This is... just awful..."
"Oh, come on. You’re crying, Marcus. You were crying before, and you’re still crying now."
There stood Sylas with a sulky expression, Marcus dabbing at his eyes with a handkerchief, and Makarov watching the whole thing with an amused smile.
Startled by the sudden appearance of the usual crew, Rocco let out a panicked, "Ahhh!?" and plopped down onto the ground, still holding the bouquet.
