Sylas knew Rocco well enough to believe that even if he considered betrayal, he wouldn’t be able to deceive them so effectively.
Sylas would notice it right away.

Sylas asked again, seeing that Rocco still hadn’t responded, his eyes vacant.
The hypnosis didn’t seem to be working well.
After lightly stroking Rocco’s cheek to encourage him, Rocco finally answered.
