Chapter 177: Yu Daniu’s Guess
Before Yu Sangou knew it, he finished the big meat bun in just a few mouthfuls. When he swallowed the last mouthful of meat buns, he gulped down the remaining warm water in the bowl. He then rubbed his stomach and felt the pricking pain slowly dissipate.
Sighing in satisfaction, he looked at his grandfather and asked, "Grandpa, where are the others?"
Yu Daniu knew who he was asking, and said, "Some of them are still unconscious. They are in the bedrooms."
Noticing the helplessness in his Grandfather’s tone, Yu Sangou held his thin hands and said, "Don’t worry, Grandpa. After resting for a while, I will go out and find some medicinal herbs for them."
Yu Daniu didn’t say anything after hearing what he said, because both of them knew it was impossible for him to find it. Everyone already knew that after seven years of drought, nothing could grow on this land anymore. Not to mention those medicinal herbs that are hard to grow and rare to come by, even grass can no longer be seen anywhere.
Yu Daniu patted his grandson’s hand and said with a smile: "Alright, then you have a good rest and get well soon."
Yu Sangou nodded to his grandfather, then lay down and closed his eyes. The wounds on his body were only wrapped in dirty clothes, and already festering in this hot weather. It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep because of his fever.
Yu Daniu sat beside his grandson, looking at his slightly flushed face because of the fever. He reached out and touched his forehead. When he felt Yu Sangou’s forehead was hot, he became anxious.
He got up from the floor, walked to the door, and left the house. While he was waiting anxiously outside the house, A Lu Da came with a young man carrying a medicine box. A symbol was painted on the back of the young man’s hand, symbolizing that he was a physician of the Yishi tribe. A Lu Da saw Yu Daniu waiting anxiously in front of the house from a distance, and walked faster.
