Chapter 41: Let Them Decide For Themselves
Holding her empty bowl, Xu Xiang suddenly asked, "What are your plans for them?"
Xiao Shao was silent for a moment, before saying, "Bringing them with us will slow down our pace. But, we can’t leave them behind either."
Xu Xiang agreed with his words, nodded, and said nothing more. A few minutes later, he said, "Since we can’t leave or keep them, why not let them decide for themselves?"
Xu Xiang raised her eyebrows when she heard his words. With a slight smile on the corner of her lips, she said, "Young Master Xiao has a bright mind."
Both of them knew that these members of the Fan family were either the pampered young ladies or the spoiled young masters. But for these people, deciding what to do is not out of their reach.
Xiao Shao looked in the direction of Fan Zhengyin and his younger sister, and said, "That man is a good talent."
Following his gaze, Xu Xiang saw a thin young man sitting next to a child. His thin body was full of dust and wounds, but he looked calm and graceful. The child was also thin and malnourished, but that pair of clear eyes caught her attention.
Agreeing with him, she said, "Young Master Xiao is really good at discovering talents. Since you are interested in him, what will you do if he decides to leave?"
Listening to her question, the corners of Xiao Shao’s lips curled up slightly. His gaze was still fixed on the pair of brother and sister when he said, "He will decide to stay."
