Xu Xiang handed the wooden bowl to Xiao Shao and said calmly, "It’s the rotten flesh I cut from his wound. Throw it away for me. Remember to return the bowl to me after you throw away the rotten flesh."

Holding the wooden bowl, he walked away stiffly. A minute later, he came back but there was no bowl in his hand. Xu Xiang looked at his empty hands and asked, "Where is my bowl?"

He looked at her silently and thought: ’What do you want that bowl for? Do you still want to use it to hold food?’

He didn’t answer her, and got into the mule cart to check on Fan Zhengying’s condition instead. Xu Xiang looked at his back helplessly. She wanted to find her bowl, but she didn’t know where he had thrown it to, so she gave up.

Xu Xiang went up to the mule cart and saw Xiao Shao sitting beside the unconscious Fan Zhengying. She sat beside him, glanced at his cold face, and said, "He will survive."

When Xiao Shao heard what she just said, he glanced at her calm face, and then turned his gaze back to Fan Zhengying’s naked chest. Seeing that the thin quilt only covered half of Fan Zhengying’s body below the waist, Xiao Shao sat there without speaking.

After a long silence, he said, "He is naked."

She nodded and hummed in response. "Mhm."

After receiving her response, he glanced at her again and said, "You saw his naked body."
