Chapter 259
"Aren’t you supposed to be going out with your friends tonight?" Louisa shot back.
Serena hadn’t expected her mom to ask about her plans last night, so when she said she was going out with friends, her mom didn’t take her to the charity gala. Would her mom only take Rosemary to the gala in the future?
"Friend gatherings are just small potatoes. But a charity gala is such a big event that it might be Ms. Rose’s first time, right? It would be nice to have Serena accompany her," Martha suggested warmly.

Louisa, grinning, looked back at Rosemary and said, "You go upstairs and rest. I’ll have Edith call you when dinner’s ready."
"Okay."
After Rosemary went upstairs, she received a phone call.
[Ross, you asked me to investigate the fire at Mercy Hospital on September 10th, eighteen years ago. The more I look into it, the fishier it seems.]
"How fishy?" Rosemary walked onto the balcony, her expression cold.
[I found out that the janitor, Yvonne, who adopted Yolanda, heard an explosion while cleaning up water that night. At first, the explosion was very loud, and she was too scared to approach. It was only when she wanted to rescue people that she noticed several unlicensed black sedans driving in the opposite direction.]
