Xiyan yanked the blanket up forcefully, covering her small head and turning her back to Ou Jue.
Ou Jue leaned down to pull the blanket, "Idiot, are you trying to suffocate yourself?"
Amid the tugging, Xiyan’s emotions flared up, "Go away! I don’t want to see you! Didn’t you say you couldn’t leave the other hospital? Oh, or are you talking about that girl you keep hidden in your heart? She’s staying at this hospital too, isn’t she? You’re just dropping by to see me, aren’t you?"
Ou Jue’s gaze darkened slightly, his voice raspy, "No."
"I don’t need your charity. Go take care of that girl you cherish so deeply. I don’t need you!"
"You think I’ll leave just because you tell me to? I won’t. I’ll take care of you, for a lifetime at least. Let go." As Ou Jue spoke, he forcibly pulled the blanket away from Xiyan’s head.
And then, he was met with those tear-streaked eyes.
Ou Jue’s breath stalled. He hurriedly reached out to wipe her tears, his movements clumsy, "Don’t cry, Xia Xiyan. I forbid you to cry."
"I told you to go away!!"
"Don’t cry..." Ou Jue held her tightly, his eyes filled with overflowing heartache.
