Chapter 96 - 96 You don’t deserve this eye anymore!
On the screen, the clash escalated.
Kakashi's pupils shrank, disbelief pounding in his chest. Naruto was attacked the night he was born?
Could this masked intruder be the one who triggered the Nine-Tails' Rebellion, the very culprit responsible for Minato and Kushina's deaths?

"The murderer behind everything… appeared in Konoha at this time?!"
Suppressing his shock, Kakashi steadied his breath. His lone visible eye sharpened. This man was no ordinary intruder. He couldn't afford to hold back.
His hands flew through a rapid sequence of seals. "Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique!"
The Sharingan flared crimson. Space seemed to ripple faintly as the illusion surged toward the masked figure.
But nothing happened. The man stood still, completely unaffected his eye unblinking.
"What?!" Cold sweat slid down Kakashi's cheek. Even Orochimaru can fall to this technique… yet he
But Kakashi wasn't reckless. Even as he cast the genjutsu, his right hand had been primed. Chakra condensed, screeching like a thousand birds.
Chidori no, Raikiri!
"Haah!"
With a shout, Kakashi launched forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, lightning blazing in his palm. He thrust directly at the masked man's chest.
A flash of blue-white light split the gloom then nothing.
The Raikiri pierced empty air, Kakashi's arm passing straight through the man's body as though he were a ghost. His strike carried him forward uncontrollably; he skidded, barely twisting into a roll to avoid slamming into the wall. Spinning back to his feet, he saw the masked man unharmed, still standing in the same spot.
It went right through him…?
Kakashi's chest tightened. Sweat drenched his brow. His breaths came ragged. Two consecutive high-level jutsu had drained him heavily.

"You've got guts, brat," the masked man sneered, voice low and cruel. "Casting illusions on me? I am the true heir of the Uchiha. Compared to me, you're a child playing with toys."
His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "That eye you don't deserve to keep it anymore."
The figure flickered, body blurring like a shadow. In an instant he was right in front of Kakashi.
"What ?!"
Kakashi tried to rise, but he was too slow. A wide sleeve swept across his face, and a cold, crushing hand clamped down over his left eye like iron pincers.
"AAAHHH!!"
Agony exploded through his body. Kakashi's scream tore from his throat as he collapsed backwards, clutching his eye with both hands. Blood and tears seeped through his fingers, soaking the lower half of his mask red.
"Kakashi!!"
Kushina's anguished cry split the air.
Her golden chakra cloak flared violently, blazing like a miniature sun. Red hair lifted, eyes blazing with fury.
"You bastard!!"
Her wrath surged. She flung her arms open, golden light bursting outward as sealing chains roared to life behind her.
Countless thick golden chains tore through the air, streaking toward the masked man like enraged dragons.
It was Kushina's ultimate sealing jutsu
Adamantine Sealing Chains!
"Humph."
The masked man did not even flinch. He cast a fleeting glance at Kakashi, who was crumpled on the floor, before focusing on Kushina wrapped in the Nine-Tails' blazing chakra cloak. A mocking curl tugged at his lips beneath the mask.
Then the impossible happened again.
The chains passed straight through him, striking nothing. Each link slipped harmlessly through his body as though he were a phantom.
"What ?! How can this be?!" Kushina's eyes widened in disbelief.
Beside her, Kakashi's strength reached its limit. His vision darkened, and consciousness slipped away. His body toppled, blood soaking his hand pressed against his eye.

In the Forest of Death Tower
"Ahhh!!"
Kakashi jolted awake in his dormitory bed, his body drenched in cold sweat. He sat upright, gasping heavily.
His left hand instinctively clutched at his eye. Though intact, a burning pain lingered as if the masked man's grip had been real.
His face was shadowed, expression grim. Water seemed ready to drip from his eyes at any moment.
That man's power… it's far beyond anything I imagined.
Every scene from the dream replayed in merciless detail. His illusions, ineffective. His Raikiri, slipping through the man's body as if through mist. Even Kushina's sealing chains had failed.
Kakashi's breath hitched. He called himself… the ancestor of the Uchiha.
A single terrifying name formed in his mind, one he dared not speak aloud.
His fists clenched tight, knuckles whitening. If that man has already infiltrated Konoha in reality…
A chill ran down his spine. The memory of the Nine-Tails' attack twelve years ago crashed back into him flames, screams, the sight of Minato and Kushina's sacrifice.
Konoha couldn't endure such a tragedy again.
There's no time to lose. The Hokage must hear of this immediately.
Kakashi hurriedly changed clothes, his movements urgent and stiff. Orochimaru isn't the only threat. There's another one, hidden in the dark one far more terrifying than Orochimaru himself.
At the Tower's Top Floor
He burst into the office without knocking.
The Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, sat behind the desk, face stern and tired. Standing at his side was a tall man with long white hair Jiraiya.
The two were mid-argument, their voices tense.
"Old man, I've already made myself clear!" Jiraiya's arms were folded, his tone sharp.
"I cannot accept your proposal!" Sarutobi slammed his palm on the desk, eyes blazing. "It's far too dangerous, Jiraiya. I won't allow you to take such a reckless risk!"
The door slammed open.
"Kakashi?"
Both men turned in shock.
The reliable Jonin who was always calm, always composed, stood in the doorway pale-faced, panting, and frantic. Such rudeness, such loss of composure Hiruzen had never seen it before.
The Hokage's brows knit tight as he rose from his chair. "What is it? What happened?"
Even Jiraiya, though surprised, quipped with uneasy humor, "Kakashi, I didn't think you had it in you to panic like this."
