Chapter 103: Entity
The face of the entity warped and twisted in anger as if it was particularly annoyed that Vacuse wasn’t affected. The intensity of the pressure on him doubled.
He heard Rith grunt softly in response. ’...this bastard is more powerful than it seems but he’s sealed so we shouldn’t be that troubled for now...’
Everyone around him was either on their knees or unconscious, and the only thing saving most of them was the fact that the entity was focused on Vacuse.
Only the Captain seemed to be able to withstand the force as well, but even then, she was looking down with her jaws clenched.
Vacuse began to back away. Maybe if he was far from it, then the entity would return to the shrine.
But the entity seemed to sense that as well, and unexpectedly, it began to open its eyes.
It was just a crack at first, but even that was deadly. Winds howled through the air and the ground shook. The air turned heavy. Captain Mera gasped and blood flowed from her mouth.
Most of the remaining people fell unconscious as well, as they felt as if their bones would grind to splinters inside their bodies.
’...things are getting dangerous...’ Rith’s voice echoed in his mind. ’...quick, get away before it opens its eyes...’
Vacuse didn’t need to be told twice. He turned around, ignoring everyone else as he prepared to shoot away.
But the entity opened even more of its eyes, and a deadly force slammed into the surrounding areas, solely focused on Vacuse and made the space around him hot.
The ground blackened and the soil charred. Vacuse shivered as he felt something tighten around him. "Rith?"
