Serenthar was surprised as the lance rammed into his chest just below his ribs. He took several steps back. "How can your....!"
Bang!
The lance exploded, tearing through his chest with a wave of dark energy that tore through his ribs, blasting away chunks of flesh.
Serenthar staggered backward, his hands rising to check the gaping holes in his chest. He took several steps backward and he just stared at the carriage in sheer surprise. "You....what are you?"
Vacuse smiled, his face stiff. "An SSS ranked."
Serenthar gave him an honest look of respect. "You’re supposed to be a monster. I can’t even imagine what you will turn out to be. Unfortunately, we won’t be here to witness it."
His wound squirmed and strings began to connect the flesh together, stitching into unblemished skin. And within a breath, his wound was whole once again, but more cracks appeared on his face as he used more energy.
"Do you know the Emperor is an SS? So are the Imperial princess and princes. But you? You are SSS and a Dragon! I really want to witness that growth."
Even as he was speaking, his fingers flickered over the shield and the light was dimming already. The shield wouldn’t be able to withstand it for long.
Vacuse took a deep breath. The only path to his survival was to do the most extreme thing he could think of.
’....Rith....I think...you have to do what you did the other time, the thing with the eye but most importantly...or you can add more....draw more power from the Void Dragon...’
Rith snickered in his mind. ’...you have the blood of an SS Dragon in your hand, the concentrated blood that you can use. I think I should be able to draw power through it...’
