Vacuse stared at Drenvar and then he asked slowly, "What are you talking about?"
"The Vorrakyn founder. He didn’t die here in our world. He went away with the Emperor at that time. The founding Emperor."
Vacuse shook his head. "I still did not understand."
Drenvar nodded. "I understand. The Vorrakyn and the Empire’s founder reached the highest rank they could reach as a Soulbearer. And... they went away.
"They ascended. They went to a higher world. Also, they were one of the longest living in this world and ruled the Empire the longest."
Vacuse was left stunned.
He remembered his conversation with the Void Dragon and how they talked about power and those who are powerful. The height of power.
’...so... this world is even too small to contain some power...’ Vacuse thought solemnly to himself.
"The Enchanted Dragon was the same and at the same time it wasn’t. The Dragon created an artifact that made it ascend instead of reaching its rank. It’s actually complicated and I don’t know much about it."
"Wait, wait," Vacuse said with a furrowed brow. "You kept mentioning the Dragon and not its Soulbearer."
Drenvar smiled. "You know, beasts at the level of Dragons are intelligent like humans and even more than humans in some cases.
"The Enchanted Dragon is a special case for us in a lot of ways. It’s the only Dragon that actually ruled the Vorrakyn as a Dragon Lord."
