[BL]Reborn as the Empire's Most Desired Omega

Chapter 149: Dax is bored

The morning was calm, almost unnaturally so.

Soft light filtered through the gauzy curtains of the royal guest suite, brushing against the open suitcases arranged with quiet efficiency. The palace attendants had already come and gone, their movements careful, their voices hushed. Lucas sat on the edge of the bed, slipping his watch into place with slow, practiced ease, while Trevor stood near the tall mirror, adjusting the cuffs of his pale grey jacket with military precision.

Trevor’s fingers paused briefly at his collar. "I arranged the car for noon," he said. "We’ll be at the estate before sundown if we don’t stop."

Lucas didn’t look up. "You’re forgetting one thing."

Trevor raised a brow. "No, I’m not."

As if summoned by fate and bad timing, the suite door opened without a knock.

"You’re not leaving without a proper goodbye," Dax announced as he strolled in, all polished boots, bold rings, and the effortless chaos of a man who made rules only to ignore them.

Trevor didn’t flinch. "You could knock."

"I own the door," Dax replied with a grin, then turned to Lucas. "And you, Grand Duchess, owe me a final meal before you flee Saha like thieves in the daylight."

Lucas sighed, already reaching for his blazer. "I told you," he said, voice dry, "you forgot something."

Trevor didn’t respond. He just stared at Dax like he was mentally calculating the fastest route out of the country and whether it would hold up against an international tantrum.

Dax spread his arms like the answer had been obvious from the beginning. "Come now. One last lunch. Your husband has growled at every diplomat who so much as breathed in your direction. It’s my turn."
