Noel had arrived at the Western Port of Estermont.
Here lay the sea that separated the two continents. The distance between them wasn’t too large—by ship, the crossing could be made in about five days.
His ship would depart in exactly fifteen minutes.
Noel turned to the carriage driver who had brought him.
"Please let them know I arrived safely."
The driver nodded once, then turned and left, guiding the carriage back through the bustling streets.
Noel faced forward again.
The Port of Estermont was just as he had imagined it from the novel—majestic, vast, a place where the wealth and power of the Estermont family was on full display.
Tall stone piers extended out over the deep blue water. Countless ships were docked—some designed for transporting people, others for moving goods, others built for luxury.
Passengers of all races passed through the gates—humans, elves, dwarves, and more. Merchants, travelers, nobles. And, of course, some ships were part of the Estermont trading fleet, among the most famous in the world.
Noel’s gaze swept across the harbor.
