The Amazing White-Spider

For a few weeks Ekaj has been trying to figure out just how time travel was possible, as that might help him get to the bottom of who the person is that dared to fake his name, or rather Jake's name, and do far more damage than they'd ever think.

Ekaj: "I know I'm built to be a monster, and Jake thinks of himself as one, but destroying the city is far too much effort when all I want is to consume the blood of as many people with powers as I possibly can and maybe a few normals as a light snack."

Of course, he knew who the person might have been, but what if there was another? Also, and this was the biggest issue that stopped him from doing anything to the person he thought might be it.

Ekaj: "Where the heck are you, you Bi—"

Suddenly there was a knock on his door, and in one swift motion, Ekaj grabbed all the extra notes, graphs, and pictures with maps he had and quickly shoved them inside his journal. Once he was confident that everything was inside, Ekaj threw it up and then webbed it to the ceiling and hoped that like most days no one dared to look up.

Ekaj: "Come in!"

While most people would probably wonder who was behind the door since Ekaj didn't have any plans on leaving or really going anywhere, he still had a family. But they were all off planning a family trip since it's been forever since the families had one; as whenever they're about to, something happens in New York, and they have to use the money to fix their lives.

But Ekaj was different, as there aren't many people who know where he lives, and there are even fewer people that want to do anything with him at the moment since the Avengers are being idiots and fighting amongst themselves for the umpteenth time.

Supposedly this one's about some new law about masks or whatnot, but the odds of it getting passed are very low, and even if it was, unless someone's stupid enough (like Ant-Man) or egotistic enough (like Tony) to reveal themselves, it doesn't really matter, as the police have far too much going on to enforce such rules.

That, and Ekaj isn't a hero like Spiderwoman, so he doesn't really care about the law as he does whatever the heck he wants normally, and sometimes Jake actually follows along without complaining the whole time.

Walking through his door was Ava, as S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't heard from Jake or Ekaj for quite some time thanks to just how chaotic life has been and also because it's more of a "we'll call you" type of job, so if they were requesting his help, it must have been something serious.

Ava: "We need your help."

Ekaj: "(With great disdain) So what does Mrs. Wakanda want with a lowly servant like me!?"

After the symbiote wars every single information channel in the entire world was spreading about how Ava had become one of the many wives of T'Challa, and while Jake doesn't believe any of it, Ekaj, however, knows that the heart is full of greed and that most people lust for the power of a king.

Ava doesn't say anything at first as she just groans, turns, and starts walking through his door and almost leaves if the tiniest part of her left heel wasn't still inside as she groans and turns around once more and re-enters the room.

Ekaj: "What the heck was that? (jolts up and charges at Ava and pushes her to the wall as he checks her forehead, wrist, and neck.) Well, I can't seem to find anything wrong with your pulse from any of the usual—"

Ava pushes Ekaj off her right into his desk, causing one of the many study books he had to fall onto his head... and then another one... and then another one... and then another one until the entire shelf was empty, as that's when the shelf fell onto him as well.

Ekaj: "(Sarcastically) Wonderful! I always wanted to know what a WHACK-A-MOLE FELT LIKE!"

Ava: "(Moves with a sway in her hips like she's trying to appear as a classic girl boss cartoon character.) You asked for it."

Ekaj: "(Groans) So why'd you come here? What do you want anyway?"

Ava: "Well, S.H.I.E.L.D., as you know, has you as a secret junior agent. So you've been assigned a job."

The way she said the last part made it seem to Ekaj that she either held no enjoyment in what she was about to order him to do or she herself didn't feel comfortable with the mission. Either way is very worrying considering the mission; the only missions he's ever really done involve him turning into a demon shadow.

Ava: "(Gulps) The mission this time is to..."

Ekaj: "Out with it, woman! I don't think Nick Fury is the kind of guy to enjoy my tardiness, do you!?"

Ava: "(Lets out a deep breath, seeming to have made peace with what she's about to say as her eyes are filled with reinvigorated vigor.) The mission that Nick Fury and all of S.H.I.E.L.D. have given you is to fight the Avengers!"

Ekaj: "Like... all of them? Cause I think I could fight a good couple of them with one arm tied behind my back and everything, but I don't think I can win against every Avenger."

Ava: "Yes. Well, you are an unknown to everyone but Spider-Woman, which should help you greatly as they probably know next to nothing about you and your abilities."

Jake: "Nuh... No."

Ava: "What?"

Ekaj: "I said NO!"

Ekaj thinks: Well, more specifically, Jake said no, but there's no way she can notice the difference between us, especially with how quick the changes were.

Ava: "You can't say no to this."

Ekaj: "I read the rules, and I can in fact say no to any given mission I want if I think it puts me at risk of, you know, immense pain like dying or possibly causes a mess to my personal life since I'm just sixteen or thereabouts anyway."

Ava just groans and walks around the room a little bit before slamming her foot on Ekaj's shoulder, grinding her heel into it. Or at least that's what she thinks, as what she really has is nothing more than a bit of his shirt.

Ava: "You need to do this!"

Ekaj: "Why me? There are surely better agents (grabs her leg and pulls her down to his level so he can look her deep in the eyes). Why am I the only man for this job?"

Ava: "Because..."

Ekaj: "Why?"

Ava: "(Darts her eyes around as she tries to look at anything but Ekaj's eyes) Because we..."

Ekaj: "Why do you need me!?"

Ava: "BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T DO IT, THEN I'M GOING TO BE FORCED TO DO IT INSTEAD, AND I CAN'T GO AGAINST MY KING EVEN IF I DISCARDED HIM AND THAT LIFE!!!"

Once she was finished, Ava began panting harder than any of the SHIELD training had ever put her through or even their little time together.

Ekaj: "So you don't want to fight your lover. (Scoffs) I don't care if he was your king or whatever. I just wanted the truth more than anything."

Ava: "I... (rubs her shoulder) am not dating or in love with T'Challa. I just can't go against him, as my parents miss being in Wakanda, and because I refused to be involved in the barbaric teachings of our tribe, we got cast out."

Ekaj: "And after you two spent some time together, he let your family come back home, right?"

Ava: "Yes. (Looks up at Ekaj and lets out a single tear as her eyes fill with fear, anger, and something else that's hard to place) That's why I want you to go, as I have to help my family."

Ekaj: "And while I'm against the entire Avengers League, which includes your king and Spider-Woman!"

Ekaj thinks: She doesn't need to know our relationship nor S.H.I.E.L.D. for that matter if they don't already know it anyway.

Ekaj: "So what will you be doing during this great war of mine!? HUH!"

Ava: "Hunting down the person you're looking for!"

Her voice, filled with bitterness and rage, shocked Ekaj, but not as much as Ava jumping from his lap and swiping the book from the ceiling, scattering all the documents about as it was a really shoddy, quick, rushed webbing.

Ava: "Before I even entered, I saw a picture fly through the crack of your door with some random woman. I guess this is important for you, so if you do this for me, I'll be willing to help you find this person."

Ekaj sighs as he knows this is the best chance he's ever going to get to finding the woman and everyone involved with framing his future name.

Ekaj: "Before I start it, however, I've got to take care of something first."

Ava: "(Places something that looks like Iron Man's heart on Ekaj's chest.) Sorry, but it has to be now."

Ekaj: "You bi—"

Without getting another word in, Ekaj is sent or rather dragged through a portal as Ava grabs everything and just burns it since the worst thing when doing something like this is leaving a trail, especially when it looks as insane as Ekaj's journal looked.

Having finished her part of the deal, or at least the first part, Ava got ready to help Jake with whatever reason he had to find this strange woman since she needed his help as she just couldn't handle being the reason her family couldn't go back home again.

It also didn't help that after their little night together Ava started looking at Jake differently than she used to and not in the romantic way or anything like that. No, she began looking at him as more of a person she could be friends with than a random fellow agent she sometimes needed for a job.

Ava: "Okay, girl. You just got your possible first friend in life, and you DO NOT want to blow this like all the other attempts because you have as much social skills as a robotic Norman clone. No, even he has enough to possibly pass at least a day. No, you have the social skills of the Hulk completely pissed off after someone tried to make a pass at his girlfriend or cousin."

Ava takes a deep breath and leaves through the window just as the Long family returns with sad news, as they couldn't make the money for the trip on account of the Avengers fighting themselves, which has caused all flights to be stopped till they are done.

Haley: "Why are they even fighting? When I started beating Sasha after she said she wanted to steal Jake from me, I got punished for it and couldn't walk for a whole week!"

The parents chuckle and laugh as their daughter was exaggerating the punishment time, as it was at most half a day and on a Saturday where they made her do as many revisions as they could get their hands on, and if she didn't finish a certain amount, she didn't get to leave for anything.

Opening the door, the family was met with a quiet house, which was normal as they just accepted their son liked to do his own thing a lot and just wished he was having fun and was, most importantly, safe.

-Meanwhile at whatever airport their constant fighting dragged the Avengers towards. -

Ekaj: "DAMN! YOU! NICK! FURY!!!"

Ekaj screamed as he was pouncing off explosion after explosion from literally anyone that had explosives or could just send him into the air, as whoever was in charge of teleportation freaking sucked at their job as he landed right on the first explosion and has yet to land.

Thankfully, they were all too distracted by all the chaotic sounds of everyone fighting to really hear his screams, which finally gave him enough breathing room to swing up onto one of the many planes and watch the area.

Ekaj: "Ohoho! I see a flying symbol of America! I wonder how many good brother points I'd get if Haley found out it was real?"

With greed in his eyes and warmth in his heart Ekaj turns into his soldier form as he webs the shield just as another pair of webs appears and the two struggle to get the shield from the other.

White-Spider & Spider-Woman: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?"
