Confused Confession
Knock. Knock. A constant barrage of knocks and pounding is heard all over the apartment as a woman fresh from the shower groans in annoyance as the place is filled with some punk songs playing randomly on a broken stereo.
In the bedroom the lady was dressing herself in a long-sleeved shirt and some very short shorts that made it seem like she wasn't wearing anything, as she doesn't really care, as she can finally dress however she wants.
Flipping her hair out of her shirt, the lady walked over to a black headband and put it on as she opened the door, and there Jake was with a white flower and a tuxedo cat plush in hand, as he wanted to see her first before anyone else.
Felica: "Uh... It's nice to see you and everything, but how do you even know where I live now? I mean, my old man's either on the run or hiding from the government and any goody-goody superheroes."
Jake: "You've shown me all your safe houses, and this is New York. It's really not that hard to find a place with frequent sightings of a sexy woman with white hair and wearing a latex outfit... which is also somewhat hard, as again, this is New York."
Felica just rolls her eyes as she lets Jake inside, as he was one of the only people that knew she was Black Cat, and while she's almost certain he'd never tell anyone, she still wasn't really going to risk anyone finding her out.
Felica: "You're lucky I'm desperate to have a normal place to live without any weird rumors, or I'd throw you out the door without a second thought!"
Stepping inside the apartment, Jake is shocked to see how big the place is, along with an area dedicated to making paintings that Jake doesn't really know if it's because she wants to do it or because it's to help make counterfeits.
But as Jake's like fifty, maybe fifty-five percent certain that she'd never do anything like that, as she's always been the type of woman who wants nothing more than first edition or original products and would never dare to make a copy even if it meant she'd be saved from summer school.
Felica: "So why are you even here?"
Jake: "You were the first person to know about my other side, along with being the first person that I spent the night with."
Felica: "Okay... so what does that have to do with why you're here?"
Jake: "We both know that I've long since had feelings for you, and I'd like to think that you feel something for me, as we both know you could have just destroyed me with your trained martial arts or at least caused me some damage. So, I'm here to be together, as I no longer feel a need to hide my feelings for you!"
Felica: "(Bursts out in laughter) Ah, that was far too funny... Oh, you're serious? Well, I'm sorry, but I don't really feel that way about you. For the moment at least, as I just want to know more about what I really want without my father's intervention."
Jake felt very sad over this whole situation, as he never thought it'd turn out like this, as he assumed she'd just agree to date him considering everything she did with him last time along with everything she did while they were still in school.
Felica: "Look. While I may not like you like that, I will admit you're at least fun to spend a lonely Saturday night with, so you have at least that going for you."
She said while patting Jake on the back and even rubbing it a little as she gave him some leftover cookies she had grown tired of and basically kicked him out of her house as Jake just groaned from getting kicked out and also because of the very stale cookies.
Walking away from the apartment building, Jake just walked through the city and met up with Trixie at Central Park, where they had met all those years ago, with Jake being a little loner as he just swung on a swing set all on his own.
And if it hadn't been for Spud accidentally kicking a soccer ball near him... thinking back on that time, it was also the same week he met with Penny and then later Harry...
Jake: "Man. To think that I met the most important people in my life that I don't share blood with in this park and within a week too!
Trixie: "Well, I'd say it's fate, but that's just my parents, as there aren't that many kids around here willing to play with Spud."
Jake and Trixie just laugh as they remember all the weird things Spud liked to do when he was younger... and well, just in general, they even find it hard to believe how he thinks the world is inhabited by magical creatures and that his family is a long line of werewolves protecting the world.
Trixie: "I know this world is crazy and everything, what with aliens, gods, and magic, but there are limits to just how absurd everything can possibly be!"
Jake: "Eh, so long as he's not hurting anyone, I don't think it really matters how delusional he is about his life or his entire family. Also, this is a weird world and everything, so I'm willing to just wait to see him do something beast-like other than eating more meat than I think possible."
Ekaj: "Yeah, unlike us. I mean it's not like we've eaten enough meat to have basically eaten an entire flock of cows, pigs, and maybe chickens before."
Jake just waves off Ekaj, who just laughs at the annoyance of his counterpart, while Trixie just wonders what's possibly wrong with Jake but just accepts his weird antics, as she's far too used to whatever Spud thinks he's doing.
Trixie: "So... what the heck are you doing around here anyway? As far as I remember, you live in a completely different area?"
Jake: "Well, I was just trying to get a girlfriend, I guess (sighs), but I guess she wasn't ready for a serious commitment, or maybe she was just trying to let me down gently. I really don't know which it might have been, but I guess it really doesn't matter."
Trixie: "Well... how about (walks closer to Jake) we try going out?"
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
