The Amazing White-Spider

*Warning this chapter is going to get dark so be warned

As Penny stared at Jake and the red symbiote man who had attacked him, she was worried about what was happening to him and what would happen once Jake was freed from the red symbiote's grasp.

Because besides the black symbiote monsters, the red symbiote monsters were a very close second in the amount of people they had taken over and controlled.

This time wasn't any different, as the red symbiote man seemed to be trying to conquer, control, or corrupt Jake and turn him into one of them. With the red glowing veins from the red symbiote growing all over Jake, seeming to replace his own veins in the process as they slowly turn him into a cocoon.

As it enveloped Jake, Penny tried to rush over, but the symbiote man's symbiote turned into a porcupine as giant needles and blades poked out anytime she got close, and no matter where she went, they would always pop up and try to stab her if she got too close.

Every second seemed to count as the more time passed, the more Jake got consumed by the red symbiote monster; just as the fear and panic inside Penny started to rise, the more she saw her best friend slowly get taken over and possibly disappear forever...

But! Just mere moments before he seemed to become fully absorbed by the red symbiote, it began to crack and break open, revealing that underneath the giant red blob-like creature that housed the two was now Jake, holding the red symbiote man by the throat.

That wasn't all, however, as Jake went over towards the ledge of the building and held the man out without hesitation, and now with their fates switched, Jake seems emotionless as he dangles the former red symbiote man over the building.

???: "Please! Please don't do this! I... I was wrong, okay? I admit that, but hey, we can work something out, right? I mean, I can see you got a pretty little thing, and if—

When the man called her a pretty little thing, Penny began to blush a bit and couldn't understand why, but she didn't have the time to dwell as Jake gripped the man by the collar even harder and seemed moments away from dropping him.

Penny: "JAKE! What do you think you're doing!?"

Jake: "(Stares at Penny with eyes as cold as iron) I'm just getting rid of some trash, you know, to clean up the streets and all that."

Penny: "But that's for like cups, papers, and some other things, NOT PEOPLE!"

Jake: "Even... (his lips seem to tremble for a moment almost like he doesn't want to say it, but it's already too late to turn back, and he seems to force himself to say it.) Even if it's the man that killed your uncle?"

Penny's entire world just broke as the man who had taken her uncle's life was now in front of her, the man who took one of the most important people from her when she was only 13 years old, and for five years she had been looking and couldn't find even a trace.

Penny: "What... What makes you think he's the one?"

Jake: "(Finger guns his head with his other hand) He showed it to me. He showed me how he killed Ben with a six-shooter in cold blood for no reason other than he felt like it."

Hearing this, even the clouds seemed to start pouring for this sad revelation as Penny remembers how the man who killed her uncle didn't even take a thing from his body. It was theorized that Uncle Ben was just unlucky on that fateful night and got involved in a gang war by accident.

But... but hearing that he was killed just because he was in the way of... of this thing! It was more than Penny could stand as her mind seemed close to its breaking point, with her even standing like a deranged villain usually found in fiction as her legs were spread out and her hands were rubbing all over her head as she tried to rationalize Ben's death.

No matter how hard she tried, she'd never come up with anything, as the man had no reason other than he wanted to do it. Looking at the man with eyes almost as cold as Jake's, Penny slowly creeps towards the man in a way all too similar to a zombie's walk.

When she finally reaches the man, she just stares at him with eyes devoid of all life as the feelings of death, killing, revenge, justice, and many other emotions flood her as she slowly reaches towards the man's throat herself.

Before she finally grasped his neck, however, she backed away after seeing the sudden appearance of Uncle Ben's phantom appearing beside the man and even gently placing his hand on the man's shoulders.

Uncle Ben's Ghost: "Remember every life has meaning, and with great power comes great responsibility...."

And just like new, her eyes begin to fill with life and light once more as she immediately backs away from both Jake and the man as she doesn't yet trust herself to be near him.

Penny: "I may hate you! But even your life has meaning. So Jake, for me, can you please—"

Before she can even finish her sentence, Jake had thrown the man right into the wall of the building they were standing on, completely imbedding him into it, and with little to no effort, Jake drags the man out with his broken and bloody mess of a body slowly twitching.

???: "Pah... Palesae... Sa... save me...."

The man begged Penny as he extended his hand towards her, only for Jake to break his arm and all its bones, causing him to scream out in pain.

Jake: "How's the "sweet melody?" Does it sound as nice when it comes from you as it did with everyone you've killed?"

Without even waiting for a response, Jake banged the man's head across the wall and started dragging him across the walls, further breaking his body to the point the man was either lucky or unlucky to be alive.

Either way, however, Jake wasn't finished with him just yet as he began breaking all the remaining bones in the man's body along with stabbing him, makeshift shooting him, burning him, and just about every way he's ever killed a person as forms of torture.

With every second of torture at Jake's hands, the man tries to beg even more for Penny to save him, and when she could finally move again after being frozen in place from watching the horrors that Jake was unleashing on the man, she... she webbed him away.

Penny: "Jake, stop this at once! You still have time to come back before it's too late!"

Jake: "Sorry, but it's already too late for me."

After hearing this, Penny wonders what he meant, but then she sees a white symbiote forming from his hand that quickly approaches her and forces her to stay in place as it throws the man directly into Jake's—no, the White Spider's—arms.

The white beast slowly makes its way towards the roof back to where this had all really started and slowly transitions back into Jake with only the arm that was holding the man still having some symbiote swirling around it.

Penny tries her best to break free as she freaks out and begins to beg and plead for Jake to stop, but it all falls on deaf ears as Jake finally lets go of the man, who begins falling with a smile on his face and tears flowing through his eyes as he would finally die.

Jake then snaps his fingers, and the symbiote cage that was keeping Penny in place falls into a liquid state and begins moving towards Jake as Penny dives off the building, trying to save them, man, as he needs to face justice for what he's done.

But she knew it was too late, as by the time she got up to the ledge she could hear the sounds of a car horn honking, causing her great despair as she couldn't save the man, even if he was the one to kill her uncle.

Jake: "I had to do it. I know you'll never believe me, but this was for the best."

Penny suddenly turns around and tries to angrily web Jake to the wall with her compact webs instead of her own as the rage and tears in her eyes were clouding her judgment, but even if that wasn't the case, it wouldn't have mattered as Jake had vanished.
