A few moments earlier…..

Utaari pov:

Luka and I crawled towards the music until we reached a large gap in the ceiling.

“It's coming from there!” Luka said as she shuffled closer to the hole until she was close enough to peer down it.

“Yep, this is definitely the source of the music. Come take a look,” Luka shuffled around the edges of the hole, allowing me to get a good view, and my what an amazing view it was. It was an entire mini cave society. The room was lit up with glowing yellow moss. An underwater stream was now a river that ran around the edges of a large central island. The edges of the cave had what looked like houses carved into the stone, complete with tiny windows and the same moss glowing on the inside, acting like some sort of lamp. If this place existed on Earth, it would be one of the 7 wonders of the world at how beautiful it is. However, admiring the beauty isn't why we're here; we're here for one person and one person only

“Do you see her?” Luka asked. As she scouted out the area.

“Nope, just a bunch of blue people that appear to be setting something up, something in the middle of the central island. Flowers, chairs, a band. Looks like a wedding of some sort.” I kept looking around, trying to find more clues, when the music suddenly picked up severalfold and all the blue people rose to their feet.

“Something is happening.” As the words left my mouth, the door to one of the stone houses opened, revealing a beautiful red head in a white wedding dress”

“There she is! And she with some drop-dead gorgeous blue-skinned creature. Man, I would kill to let her ride me. fuck I can see it now. Me on the bottom as she-”

“Focus, utaari! Rae’s down there; is that correct?”

I nodded. “Yep, she’s right there. All we gotta do is swoop down, pick her up, and then head back to your place to have a family threesome I can show you….”

Luka stared into my soul, causing me to stop. “Sorry…. Let's go get Rae.”

“Wait.” Luka shuffled forward and peered down the hole.

“I want to speak to her alone first.”

“Luka…that’s… is that wise?” I asked.

She shook her head. “Probably not, but I need to meet this head-on. I have so much to answer for, and I have to do it alone. Drop me down there and let me talk to her. "The second anything looks dangerous, you move in, got it.”

I looked back down the hole, then at Luka. “Are you sure?”

Luka nodded. “More sure than anything ever in my life.”

“Alright….Let's do this…..”

Present….

Luka pov:

“Rae, we need to talk…” I said the words aloud, trying my best to hide my nerves. Ive been thinking about what I would say when I finally see her, but now that im here, none of it seems good enough. “Sorry for neglecting you for all your life? Now let's be a happy family?” This isn't a fairy tale; no way Rae will take that, and she would be right too. Dammit, why did I allow this to happen?

Rae turned to face me. Her eyes met mine with a sort of confusion and surprise. “You…. I recognise you. You're…..” Her head twisted with confusion as if she just couldn't put her finger on who I am. Does she not recognise me? How is that possible? I know she hates me, but… something about this doesn’t feel right.

My eyes moved towards the girl who stood next to her. She had bright blue scaly skin and golden eyes. She was a beauty, but behind that exterior was something foul. I don’t like her one bit.

“You! Get away from her now!” I yelled. Her golden eyes met mine with disgust.

“Persistent little insect, aren’t you?” Suddenly, she snapped her fingers, and the blue-skinned creatures around us moved. Instinctively, I hopped backwards, putting space between the creatures who moved to protect the blue-eyed freak. I looked closer at the people around them. They looked similar to cerci, but like the people we fought before, they moved. Is she controlling them as well? Her own people?

“Quite the moves she has, doesn’t she, darling. I can see how she made it past the fodder I sent.” She said, trying to take Rae's attention from me, but Rae gently pushed her away.

“Cerci. I know this woman. Ive seen her before. She’s….she…. gahhhh Who is she. I know here but from where?”

“Rae. It's me….Luka, your mom. Come home. I have a lot to tell you, okay.” I pleaded; it feels so wrong begging her for stuff after neglecting her for so long, but I cant leave her with that bitch. Something is screaming to me: something bad will happen if I do.

“Luka…luka…..wait! I remember! Luka!Mom!” Her face lit up, then immediately frowned.

“Luka….” she said with more venom than a thousand pythons.

“Rae… look”

“Save it! Don’t try and act as if you care about me. You never did in the past, and Im 300% sure you don’t care now,” she snapped.

“Rae. Please-“

“You heard her. Scram!” Cerci yelled. “My bride has spoken. Now begone. Or else,”

“Or else what? If you think im intimidated by you. You're dead wrong.” I spat out. I don’t like her. Not one bit at all.

“Or else what?” she mocked. “If you don’t leave now. I'll make you leave now, clear off!”

Suddenly I felt my body tense, and my attention focused onto her mystifying blue eyes. They really are pretty. I'd hate to disappoint them. I should-

“NO!” I yelled as I shook my head. I pulled my eyes away from her and back to Rae. Did she just try to mind control me?! This girl…. She’s dangerous.

“That shouldn’t be… such willpower.” She muttered. She could say whatever she wanted about me; I don’t care, but right now I need her to get away from Rae.

“Rae… get away from her now! She has the power to control people. She even enslaves her own race! You need to step away, no-“

“NO! Luka! Argghaaa YOU'RE SO ANNOYING! Why are you here?” she yelled “Isn’t me leaving what you wanted?! Is me being happy such an issue that you came all the way out here to stop me? Do you hate me that much!”

“NO!” I yelled. “That’s not true! dammit. IM SORRY, RAE! But I need you to come back home now, okay!”

“YOU'RE SORRY! Sorry doesn’t make up for 18 years of neglect. 18 years of you not giving a rats ass about me. Never once did you comfort me about my tattoo or even ask me how my days are or to stop smoking for one minute! I gave you what you always wanted; now leave me ALONE!” Suddenly, a deep pressure hit my body, and a strong urge to follow hit me. Rae’s right; maybe I should- aghhha!

I glanced up at Rae; her eyes were now a similar gold to the girl next to her.

“You what are you doing with my daughter”

The girl chuckled “Making her my ideal spouse; she will become one of us and then one with me. Till death do us part and all of that.” As she said that, Rae's skin suddenly pulsed blue.

“Eughh. I don’t AGHHHAAA!” Suddenly she dropped to her knees.

“It seems the process is beginning. I wanted to follow the traditions. But alas. Time is not on my side.”

“Cerci! What's happening!” Rae screamed in pain. The girl chuckled. “You're becoming one of us. Finally I will be able to convert you and take that body of yours. hahaha! Months of planning for this! Finally I will have the perfect voice. And the icing on the cake: once I have your body, I won't have to listen to your whining anymore! God, I can see why your mother neglected you for so long. If I had a child like you, I would've left them in the forest to be eaten! ”

“You bitch!” I spat out. My eyes turned towards Rae. She looked shaken and broken. Tears welled up in her eyes as she realised that bitch never loved her.

“Nobody…..There is nobody who loves me….” rae eyes ran with tears. Rae….. my eyes turned to the blue hag.

“You…. I'll burn you alive for playing with feelings. That’s not a threat; it’s a promise!”

“Oooh, scary.” She said with a mocking chuckle. “You better be quick about it then because in around 15 minutes her body and voice will be mine..” Suddenly, the river of water around us pulled towards Cerci, creating a never-spinning sphere of water.

“Dammit! Utaari”

Before her name even left my mouth, several tentacles shot down and latched onto the ground. And instantly she launched herself next to me.

“Right here!” she said as we watched the other blue people form a wall between us and my daughter.

“Do I need to explain the goal here”

Utaari shook her head “Save Rae”

With those words, we both took off into the crowd.

Utaari Pov:

I don’t need a reward for this ovu. I’d do it for free. Suddenly, from my back, dozens of tentacles launched towards the blue-scaled sirens. At the same time luka let out dozens of flaming swallows towards the group of sirens.

The sirens' eyes suddenly flashed red before they grouped up together; their faces swelled 10x in size before suddenly unleashing a jet of water that was so fast that it instantly sliced my tentacles and extinguished Luka's birds.

“Hissssss…that hurts!” I said as I pulled the injured tentacle back

“You okay, utaari !” Luka yelled as she sent more flaming birds at them.

“Im fine. dammit that jet was too fast. We can't let them stay grouped up like that. Any idea luka”

She shook her head. “Battle strategy was more kaz’s department. We're just gonna have to improvise.”

“Improvise, huh” I opened up my item box and dropped one of the many rubble pieces. I scooped one up in my tentacles. At the same time, I spun as fast as I could, then flung the rock like a slingshot at the group of sirens. The sirens tried to launch a counterattack with the water jet, but my rock was faster. They all dove out of the water, splitting into 2 groups

“Okay, divide and conquer. I like that.”Utari, you take the ones left; I'll get the ones here”

“Isn't water a bad matchup against you? Shouldn’t we stick together?”

She shook her head. “It is, but you pick up a few things on the battlefield, and unlike before, I have the space to use a few techniques I couldn’t before. I'll be fine.”

I nodded and moved forward as I did luka arms illuminated bright orange before she slammed them into the ground. The ground trembled for a moment before splitting in two, and a large wall of flame erupted down the middle of the room, separating us.

“To think I managed to spank that ass without getting killed. I truly am lucky. Hmmm, I wonder if she'll let me go again aft- FOCUS!”

I snapped my head away from Lukas ass and back to the 6 sirens waiting for me.

“Now then, let's fight. I undid my human transformation; the purple miasma from my back returned as dozens of eyetacles came from my back. I launched forward. As I did, several jets of water fired towards me. Thankfully, they were slower than the last one. As I moved, one of my eyetacles caught a glimpse of a large stalagmite protruding from the ground due to the lower water level.

“Thanks, Cerci!” I yelled as I launched a tentacle towards it and pulled. Instantly, my body moved just enough to the left to easily dodge the powerful jets of water and continue moving until I was just above them.

“Gotcha!” I yelled as I launched 2 tentacles into the ground and pulled, sending my body slamming into one of the sirens

Okay, we're making progress. Now to-

Before I could even move, a large wave collided into me, sending me flying back into a wall, dammit. Focus. I sent out 2 tentacles, latched onto 2 nearby stalactites, and pulled. I yanked myself out of the never-ending wave and back into the fray as I soared through the air.

“My turn!” I summoned 6 rocks from my item box and grasped them with my tentacles. And then, with one twist of my body, I spun and spun fast. The rocks in my tentacles became deadly wrecking balls.

“TAKE THIS!” I landed on the ground, spinning, only being able to catch glimpses of several sirens getting smacked in the face with a giant rock.

“Eughhhha im gonna be sick!” My body stopped as I tried to regain my stability. Eughh, even though that worked. That was a bad idea.

Thanks, Ovu, but if I ever have to do something like that again, it will be too soon. I stepped over the unconscious sirens and towards the orb of water.

“I need to help Luka; she might be-“

*wooosh*

A burst of heat hit my face as the wall of flame next to me disappeared. To reveal Luka holding a flame warhammer and shield. Surrounded by scorch marks and slightly torched sirens.

“I hope you didn’t kill-“

Before the words left my mouth, she charged forward towards the watery orb.

“RAE! RAE! ARE YOU STILL ALIVE BABY! LET HER GO, YOU BITCH! I SWEAR IF A SINGLE HAIR ON HER HEAD IS HURT I'LL BURN YOU ALIVE!” Lukas arms glowed a vibrant orange as she smashed her fists against the spinning watery orb.

“DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT OPEN! WHY WONT YOU OPEN!” she yelled and continued to swing into the orb over and over. But it was a lost cause; every punch was converted to steam, becoming useless, not that Luka noticed or cared. She kept punching and punching.

I walked up behind her and gently pushed her aside. “I think I get rid of the water”

“Utaari?” she asked as I placed my hands against the orb. My item box has an infinite capacity, and from what ive learned, there doesn’t seem to be any limitations on what I can store in it. So in theory this should work. But then again Ive never tested it on liquids like this….

I opened up the item box in my hands, and as I did, I felt something cool trickle into me slowly, but something was moving.

“It works, but at this speed it will take too long. I need more hands…or tentacles in this case.” 8 tentacles sprouted from my back and towards the orb, and they too started draining the sphere.

“Utaari, you're……" It's working; keep going” I watched as the orb visually shrunk more and more as more water was drained into my item box until there wasn’t enough water for the orb to keep its shape. I pulled my tentacles away just in time to watch as the orb collapsed, revealing cerci holding an unconscious rae hostage with a blade against her neck.

“Stop right there, or the girl gets it!” Cerci yelled as she pressed the blade close against her neck.

“Let her go or else!” Luka roared, arms still flaming with rage.

“Or else what? HAHAH. I have all the cards in hand. Now be a good mother and leave her with me! Or this wedding turns into a funeral. Understand!”

“Never! We will never leave Rae.” I yelled, taking a step forward.

“Not a single move! Im serious!”

Suddenly Rae raised her head “L…luka.” She whispered weakly. “Why are you still here…. I thought you hated me.”

“NO! IVE NEVER HATED YOU! I don’t care if you never forgive me. Hell, I'd say I deserve it for neglecting you for so long, but don’t you ever think I'd leave you. Dammit rae. I LOVE YOU. By both Utaari and me. Rae, you are loved; you’ve always been im sorry I could never show it to you until now. But I want you to know you are one of the best things that ever happened to me. And I'm sorry It took you getting kidnapped for you to find out

Rae’s eyes welled up in tears…. “Luka…mom… im sorry!”

“Hahaha, how touching! “Cerci chimed. “Honestly, this family reunion is enough to make me sick.” Suddenly, Cerci started moving backwards, still holding a blade against rae neck

“Now, seeing how you’ve made it clear how much you love your daughter. do me a favour and leave my bride and me alone!”

“NO”, Rae yelled.

“Don’t be stupid, darling! You will come with me now”

“No! NO I WONT!” Rae suddenly chomped on her thumb, causing Cerci to scream and drop the blade. That’s it! I launched a tentacle from my back when suddenly a blinding orange glow exploded in the corner of my eye. It only lasted a moment, but before I realised. Luka had moved. I turned back towards Cerci just in time to see her flying backwards at unholy speeds, engulfed in flames. And Luka stood where she was.

“M…Mom”, Rae cried for a moment. Luka pulled her close into a deep hug. “ Im so sorry. Rae….i have so much to tell you”

“Mom… I'm…..im sor……” rae body suddenly went limp.

“Is she okay?!” I asked. Luka nodded. “Don’t worry, she’s just tired.”

Luka lifted Rae into a princess carry. “Utaari i-”

“You don’t need to say anything. I'll stay here and keep Cerci company, and get Rae back to the village. She needs to be looked at. And if you don’t mind, can you take Teagen back with you as well?”

Luka smiled “Of course, it's the least I can do. Thank you. Utaari, you’ve helped me in ways I didn’t think were possible, and for that I owe you a deep debt. If you need anything and I mean anything. Don’t hesitate to ask.”

Luka pulled her daughter in close one more time “I'll tell Kaz to send a rescue team. See you soon.”

And without further ado, she left, leaving me alone with the unconscious sirens and-

“UUUUghhhh my head”, Cerci cried. I quickly turned and moved to the now-very-charred siren.

“You….where is my bride, where is my-“

Instantly, a tentacle wrapped around her mouth. “Shut it! Don’t you ever call her that.”

Cerci shook her head free from my tentacle and gave me an angry glare.

“Spare me your talk. I couldn’t care about the girl one bit. She was mine to use. She was going to make me perfect and, you 2 came and ruined it! Finally, after all these years, my voice was going to be perfect. I was going to be perfect. I was so close, AND YOU 2 RUINED IT. Burn in hell, all of you. Especially my bride. How dare she betray me like that after making me listen to all her sob stories! Constant whining and crying. I had to hypnotise her, mind control her, to make her shut up!”

“Do you not feel bad at all? You took advantage of her when she was at her lowest, played with her mind and emotions, and tried to convert her into something she wasn’t! Don’t you feel bad at all?”

Cerci glared at me with incredible certainty “ Never would I do it again. I must become perfect. And I don’t care what I have to do to achieve it!”

Suddenly, several tentacles escaped from my back and snaked across the floor towards her. Words cant describe what im feeling right now. Im everything; I'm angry at what she did to Rae. Annoyed that Rae spilt her heart out to such a person, sad that I let it happen. But surprisingly I'm happy. Im happy that I can finally tap into those dark urges ive had for so long. If she has no qualms about using others for her own gain, then it shouldn’t be an issue if I do the same, right?

My tentacles slithered across the floor and wrapped around her feet. Catching her by surprise.

“Let go of me this once. Im a perfect being; I wont be sullied by the likes of ACK!” One of my tentacles wrapped around her neck, silencing her.

I walked up closer to her. Despite her horrid personality, she is still good-looking. I cant wait to see what that body looks like covered in my baby batter.
