Chapter 68 – Interrupted Coitus
William returned from his training, his shoulders slumped. A heavy cloud of frustration seemed to cling to him. For days, he hadn’t made any meaningful progress with Agimenes Eyes, and the lack of a breakthrough weighed heavily on his mind. To make matters worse, the sailors had announced that the sharks had finally returned to the waters below, a sign that meant they were only about two weeks away from reaching the first academy. The pressure was mounting.
He had even sought advice from Aurus, hoping for some guidance.
"Aurus," William began, his voice tight with disappointment, "I’m still struggling with Agimenes Eyes. It’s like I hit a wall. Do you have any advice? Anything at all?"
Aurus, usually so keen to instruct, simply observed him with an unreadable expression. "William," he said, his voice calm, "this is your first task. You must resolve it yourself. The path of magic is not always clear, and true strength comes from overcoming your own obstacles." He paused, then offered a slight hint. "Think of it this way: a fire spell flows like a river, an explosion in all directions. A mana shield is a surge, pushing outward. But the Eye spell... that’s like using just one specific part of your body without moving anything else. Any disturbance, any tremor, can cause it to fail."
William had left Aurus feeling even more disheartened. The analogy made sense, but putting it into practice was another matter entirely. He also couldn’t shake the nagging thought that the black ring on his finger hadn’t reacted or disappeared at all during this time, no matter how many times he tried to transport himself to the other world. It was a dead end.
He pushed open the door to his cabin. Lia wasn’t there, but he didn’t pay it much mind. She often came and went during his long training sessions, as he was absent for most of the day. He stripped off his armor, leaving on only a light shirt and shorts, and sat on the edge of his bed, trying to meditate on where he was going wrong.
Lost in thought, William didn’t hear the bathroom door within the cabin creak open. Lia emerged, wrapped head-to-toe in a sheet, looking like a clumsy mummy. William chuckled, a small smile finally touching his lips. "What’s going on, Lia? What’s with the new outfit?"
Lia shuffled closer, a playful glint in her eyes. "I know you’ve been having trouble with that spell, William. And you’ve been really stressed. So, I wanted to help you relax."
With a dramatic flourish, Lia pulled the sheet away, letting it fall to the floor in a heap. William’s eyes widened. Lia stood before him in a revealing, fluffy white bunny costume. The soft, snow-white fabric hugged her curves perfectly, emphasizing her slender waist and the enticing swell of her hips. The short skirt barely covered her upper thighs, revealing her long, toned legs. A tiny, fluffy tail bobbed pertly at her backside. The top was a corset that pushed her full breasts up, leaving just enough to the imagination, while long, form-fitting sleeves covered her arms, ending in delicate paw-like cuffs. A pair of tall, floppy bunny ears stood playfully atop her head, framing her angelic face. Her usually serene expression was replaced with a teasing pout, and her lips, now slightly parted, were an invitation. It was clear she had chosen this outfit to highlight her flawless figure, and it did so spectacularly. Her skin, smooth and radiant, seemed to glow in the dim cabin light. She was utterly captivating, a vision of playful seduction designed to melt away his frustrations.
