The Nightmare Wizard

Chapter 23: The Miraculous Tea (+18)

William stepped out of the room, freshly dressed and feeling relaxed. He put on his clothes slowly, sensing the day was just beginning. Outside, the sun was still on its way to the peak—an excellent time to train.

Throughout the morning, he followed his exercise regimen under Angel's mental instructions. His body responded more efficiently: his movements were smoother, his reflexes sharper. Even though only a day had passed, the difference was terrifying.

"Angel, can you confirm the tea's effect on my body?"

"Beginning deep scan... scan complete... displaying analysis."

A 3D diagram of the brain appeared in front of him, showing the same spot highlighted earlier that morning, but now surrounded by several similar points scattered across the brain.

"Angel, what am I looking at?"

"Upon analysis, these anomalies were detected at a cellular level. In the hologram, magnified 300,000 times, you can see that neurons have undergone an unidentified mutation. However, they're now capable of sending and receiving information twice as fast as before ingesting the Calm Dew Tea."

Angel's words stunned William. He could barely believe what he was hearing. Back on Earth, one of the biggest challenges he'd faced when designing the neural implant was that human neural networks couldn't handle the external impulse load—they simply weren't designed for such massive input.

"Angel, based on this, how much has your data transfer capacity improved?"

"According to the results, total data transfer capacity has increased from 22.35% to 22.41%."

The increase seemed minimal, but in practice, his reaction speed had visibly improved.
