Chapter 83: A Real Nightmare
In that moment, I was enveloped in warmth, and then suddenly, I found myself surrounded by the gods of old, whose faces I didn’t recognize; yet, the frigid sensation that consumed me when one of them approached was overwhelming. His cold, amber eyes lacked any life, while his obsidian-black hair waved behind him, and his expression was one of malevolence. I had never felt such intent to harm come from someone like I had from him. Not even from Lilith, who was a psychopathic murderer, gave me this feeling.
His pale, glowing skin was eerie, leaving me stunned right where I stood. The space we were in appeared empty, much like a dark abyss, apart from the silver floor we stood on.
“Did you think we wouldn’t find you, little book?” The dreadful god announced, freezing me where I was.
Is this a dream? How did…
I remained silent, peering around the gods to see all of them staring at me. None of them had the deep blue eyes the exiled ones did, as their eyes were golden, much like the sun that granted us warmth each day.
These are the living gods? Is this a memory? Or… a warning? I… What’s happening?
The last thing I remembered was Loki making love to me, which left me feeling disjointed.
“You can remain quiet if you wish. I’ll just use this boy as leverage.” The god huffed as another yanked my vampire out of the void that surrounded us.
I trembled, watching them drop my heart onto the floor as they had bound his hands behind his back. Eli was nowhere to be seen, while his other half was a bloody mess—one that I couldn’t bear to look at. His wings had been ripped off his back, leaving fresh blood staining his white shirt.
Is this what the gods will do if I ever care for anyone? Was this what they did to Fenrir’s love?
“Stop,” I muttered, unable to process completely what was happening.
“Now, little book, have you forgotten who your master is? You even dared to hide from me for this long.” The heartless god declared, standing up from the throne-like chair before strolling down towards us.
Snatching the battered boy by his hair, he yanked him up from the floor, as I could see how much bigger these gods were compared to us. They were titans, towering over me and my injured lover.
Is that their original form? How…
They were probably three to five meters in height.
“Please… don’t hurt him any more!” I begged them, feeling brittle where I stood.
With Loki in their hands, it was like my heart was bleeding in their palms.
The god grimaced upon hearing my plea for my heart’s life. “Disgusting, books… don’t have voices.” He snapped his fingers.
The motion caused a gash to appear on my neck, instantly severing my vocal cords, triggering me to grip my neck. Instead of feeling any pain, nothing followed the wound, as warm blood dripped down my chest and hands.
Eh?
At that moment, Loki got some self-awareness from the beating he had endured.
“Vivian!” he yelled.
Upon hearing his voice, I gazed up to see the god slam my prince onto the floor, knocking the air out of him.
“Shut up! You may have escaped me once, but not again. I’ll make sure you end up right where I placed you the first time!” The god scowled at him before returning his deathly gaze to me.
No! Please don’t hurt him! I’ll destroy you! I promise!
Yet my desires didn’t match my movements as my body refused to move from where I was, as red markings erupted on my skin, while blood drenched the white dress I had on.
“Tools… don’t need a voice and surely… they don’t need to love either.” He continued pulling my prince back up from the ground.
No! Please don’t!
“This boy escaped death once, but I’ll be claiming his soul back now.” The god announced, smirking.
His words caused me to stand up, only for another god to grab onto my hair, dragging me from my feet to the air.
“Vivi… It’s okay. I…” before Loki could finish his sentence, the horrific god stabbed his hand into my prince’s chest before ripping his heart out.
The shock caused tears to swell out of my eyes as I couldn’t scream. No noise came from me, even though my mouth was wide open. The god dropped his limp body on the floor before walking toward me, as I felt like I wanted to rip him to pieces. Once in front of me, he dropped my prince’s heart on the floor, prompting my eyes to follow it before he clasped onto my face with the hand he had used to kill my love, allowing the blood to seep into my skin.
I couldn’t focus on anything else but the dying heart on the floor. Even though I couldn’t see it through the giant’s hand, I could still see it, triggering my body to tremble, not in fear, but pure fury.
“You’ll always be alone and used.” The god declared, triggering me to smirk, feeling emptier than ever before.
If this world is one where Loki isn’t around, then.
I reached for my bleeding neck, only to jolt awake soon after, with a sudden gasp, prompting the sleeping vampire next to me to grumble. For the first time, ever since I stopped reliving my past life, I had my first nightmare—one I could remember, fully. The venom that was still in my body from when he bit me made my body warm, but it wouldn’t influence what I wanted to do next. I softly turned around towards Loki, whose arms were around me. Even though the room was dark, I could barely see him. I reached towards his cheek as Eli woke up because of my movements, since he had been loosely coiled around my legs.
In an instant, he gently slithered up my body, ignoring his advances, trailing his other half’s cheeks, before meeting with one of his curls.
I… I… can’t… lose you, not like that.
A soft groan came from his lips as I found them with my digits. Before I knew it, I tugged myself to meet with them as the warmth that radiated from them and into me was unusual. Unable to help myself, I climbed on top of him, while Elia slithered past me, and I gave this playful vampire an early wake-up call. It wasn’t anywhere near time to actually get up, as it was barely past midnight.
Locking my lips with his, I kissed him feverously, arousing him from his sleep. Luckily, he responded with the same affection I had shown him, without knowing why I was acting like this; yet, if what I sought was his comfort, he would gladly give it to me, even if it disturbed his sleep. For a while, we made out while I tried to situate myself in the fact that he was still alive.
When I finally separated from our moment, he chuckled, trailing his fingers down my cheeks.
“What did I do to deserve this?” Loki breathed as the sight below me was one to behold.
Luckily, my eyes had adjusted to the dark, allowing me to see his outline so well that I couldn’t hold anything back from him.
“I… had a nightmare,” I whispered, trailing my hands down his pecs before clasping onto them.
Loki licked his lips when Eli coiled around my waist.
I’m sorry… You’ll always be connected to me. It’s the only way, I can assure you that man won’t ever hurt you.
“Vivi…” Loki whispered, sitting up slightly. “What’s wrong?”
Unlike me, he could see me clearly, and my expression was probably one of agony as the void in my chest couldn’t be filled fast enough by his warmth. Instead of answering him, I reached down to his length, prompting him to choke on any words that were going to come from him.
Ah… It’s up and ready for me. Is this morning wood or because of our kiss?
His eyes shimmered somewhat, allowing me to know he was there, yet I couldn’t tell him what I dreamt about. After all, knowing his stupid, cocky attitude, he would push it aside like it was nothing to worry about, but I knew better.
Yes, I need to go far away for your safety after you are no longer in peril. If that dream was a warning, I’ll never allow it to come into fruition. The gods will never use you as my weakness, and they will never have me.
Before he could utter another word, I pressed his tip against my entrance as it slid in with ease.
“Wait, Vivi,” Loki tried to speak, holding onto my hands.
Unfortunately for him, I was in no mood to wait as I dropped my bum on him, swallowing his length into my depths. A soft whine left my lips from the sudden sensation of him filling me as his hands clamped down on my hips, and a soft groan left him.
“No, waiting, I want to screw you until the point I don’t remember who I am anymore.” I huffed, swaying my hips at a fast pace.
“Fuck!” Loki moaned, as I couldn’t remember if he said anything else, but I lost myself in the pleasure that was ruling my body.
His warmth was all that mattered, and I didn’t realize when my body shimmered as well. With the soft glow coming from me, I could see Loki’s expressions even clearer than before, when His thrust mixed with my movement, bringing us both to bliss. Before I knew it, his grip on my hips tightened before he rammed himself into me from below, prompting me to see sparkling stars in my vision.
A low whine came from him while I mewled loudly, enjoying the explosion within me, which caused me to go along, too. I locked my eyes on the ceiling above while blurry memories emerged from within me.
Edna… I’m scared.
Hm? Of what?
The gods… what will I do if they find us?
They won’t find us, little one.
How can you be sure?
As long as you’re bound to a mortal, they can’t spot you with their divine eyes.
What if I… am not bonded? I don’t think anyone would bind their souls with me.
Silly, you don’t need to worry about that. I’ll make sure I find someone willing to do so.
Edna… Why… does it sound like you won’t be around?
You… Did you bring that up to find out what I’m planning?
Did it work?
My… the years have made you get a little too clever, Vivian.
What are you not sharing with me? I fear my power’s corrupting you, Edna.
Well, there are things you won’t understand, but don’t worry, my child, I’ll always be with you, even if you can’t see me.
For a moment, I felt a sharp pain in my chest, prompting me to dart my gaze down towards Loki, who was panting heavily.
What… was that?
“Vivi’s always the best.” Eli snickered, coiling around my chest and back before nuzzling his face on my cheek and spreading his wings wide.
It was one of the first times I had ever seen them so large, resembling those Loki had under him. For a moment, I rested my head on Eli, while Loki growled.
“Shut up, I know.” He huffed at an untold conversation the two were having.
A moment later, he sat up slightly before licking my breast and fondling the other one with his hand. His warmth washed away the coldness that had set in my body once again. The way his fangs brushed up my skin caused me to shiver, wishing they would sink into me.
“I’m just being truthful, or should I say something we’ve been wanting to say for a while now?” The snake teased his other half, tightening his grip on me.
Loki’s lips curved upward as if he was about to go off on the snake. Even though it intrigued me what they were talking about.
These two are too much. I can barely understand what you two are bickering about now. Argh… Just make me forget.
“Both of you shut up and give me more,” I demanded, pushing my prince back down onto the bed.
Hah… for a fearful vampire, you surely allow me to do anything I want with you.
A smile crept on my lips as I followed him down before clashing them with his. From there, we made love until the alarm finally gave us a reason to separate.
Well, briefly.
In the bathroom, we filled each other’s beings until the point where I almost lost myself. Luckily, I didn’t, as the last thing I wanted was to drag him into staying in the room with me, while there was information out there to be found. Fortunately, he didn’t dive deep into the dream I had, as I was able to brush it off as one of those that I couldn’t remember.
Hah… Why are they coming back now?
Though it probably had to do with Fenrir’s moment in my mind, which, somehow, my mind had reenacted the entire event. Of course, it was more geared toward me, yet it was the first nightmare I ever had like that, though.
My moments with this vampire are precious, I can’t… allow myself to forget that.
However, all that would change was that I would kiss him more and find my way through his clothes whenever I could, without a care for who could catch us. I wanted to make sure I would remember every little part of him.
Since the gods can only love once, this love will last my mortal lifetime.
He would complete me in ways I never thought I would ever want to be filled—something I wouldn’t allow him to know, as it would be my guilty pleasure, one I would take to my grave. Lilith once told me that gods loved in the weirdest ways, and this was my way.
