Chapter 32: Mana and Aura (1)
Still catching his breath, Ellis looked up at Galen and asked, "What about the book?"
"Oh... I nearly forgot." Saying that with a chuckle, Galen reached into the inner lining of his coat, pulled out a book, and extended it toward Ellis.
It seemed thin, not the thickness Ellis would expect from a book explaining how Aura worked. But he didn't mind that, and hurriedly snatched the book from Galen's hand.
He already felt like the day had been too long yesterday... and he wanted to compliment himself even more for pushing through morning training with Galen today, without even mentioning the book once.
Now, with the book in his hands, Ellis felt like nothing could bother or phase him anymore.
... Not Galen's untimely laugh, at least.
And with that out of the way, Ellis finally read the book's title: Crimson Aura Technique.
Just reading the title, Ellis was already intrigued, as in why Crimson? But knowing he would have all the time in the world to study it later, he looked at Galen and said, "Thank you very much, for helping me in my training until now, and even giving me this precious book."
Ellis wanted to express his gratitude. Because... really, even if the book didn't turn out to be everything he was hoping for, it should still give him a few useful hints, and that was already something precious for him.
