Chapter 466: You Have Violated My Taboo
Cheng Yuan shook his head gently. Gu Feiyun had truly gone mad; he wasn’t faking it. That being the case, he was of no use.
Cheng Yuan applied a bit of pressure with his foot.
CRACK!
Gu Feiyun’s chest caved in, his heart crushed instantly.
In his final moments, Gu Feiyun regained a brief flicker of clarity. A relieved smile touched his lips.
’It’s over. It’s all over.’
For Gu Feiyun, was this not a form of release?
The other members of the Gu Family trembled in fear. Cheng Yuan was too vicious, killing at the slightest disagreement!
’Gu Feiyun is dead. Are we next?’
This was especially true for Gu Miao, who had just provoked Cheng Yuan.
Gu Miao kept shrinking back, hoping Cheng Yuan wouldn’t notice him.
Unfortunately for him, it would have been better if he hadn’t tried to hide. Among so many people, Cheng Yuan might not have noticed him. But the more he tried to shrink away, the more his guilt showed.
"You, the one with the foul mouth from earlier. Get over here."
All of his earlier spine was gone. Gu Miao dropped to his knees with a THUD and kowtowed to Cheng Yuan repeatedly.
"Mr. Cheng! I was wrong! I offended you! I sincerely beg for your forgiveness! Please don’t lower yourself to the level of trash like me! Just let me crawl away and live out my pathetic life in a dumpster!!"
Cheng Yuan said coolly, "I’ll ask you two questions. If I’m satisfied with your answers, I’ll spare your worthless life."
"Ask! Please, ask! I’ll answer a hundred questions!"
"First, did you conspire with Gu Chen and his son, Gu Feiyun? Second, where is Yang Qiuyu?"
Cheng Yuan activated his Double Pupil, staring intently at Gu Miao. If he dared to lie, Cheng Yuan would absolutely know.
Gu Miao took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
"Mr. Cheng, I absolutely did not conspire with Gu Chen and his son, Gu Feiyun! Also, I don’t know where Yang Qiuyu is. Gu Feiyun came back on his own."
Cheng Yuan snorted. "When you answered the second question, your heart rate was steady. That means you were telling the truth—Gu Feiyun probably did come back on his own. But when you answered the first question, your heart rate clearly sped up. That means you’re lying! You were involved in Gu Chen’s or Gu Feiyun’s schemes! So, die!"
CRACK!
Cheng Yuan crushed Gu Miao’s throat!
Grief and indignation filled the faces of the Gu Family members, but none dared to voice their anger at Cheng Yuan. They bowed their heads like frightened quails, terrified of provoking him.
Only Gu Miao’s mother, Miao Ran, burst from the crowd and threw herself over her son’s body, wailing loudly.
"Xiaomiao, wake up! Don’t scare me like this, wake up!"
Gu Feilong’s knuckles were white from clenching his fists, but he didn’t dare lash out at Cheng Yuan. He could only walk silently to his wife and child’s side, pulling his wife into a tight embrace.
Miao Ran threw herself into Gu Feilong’s arms, whispering in a voice only they could hear, "Feilong, our son can’t have died for nothing! We have to avenge him!"
Gu Feilong didn’t speak, only nodding grimly. He made a silent vow: one day, he would kill Cheng Yuan and avenge his son.
Unfortunately for them, having learned his lesson from Gu Feiyun and Yang Qiuyu, Cheng Yuan had no intention of giving the couple any such chance.
Cheng Yuan looked at Gu Feilong and his wife coldly. "Since you two love your son so much, why don’t you go join him?"
The color drained from their faces.
"Mr. Cheng, Xiaomiao offended you, and he paid the price. But we’ve never done anything to provoke you! You have no reason to kill us!"
’A reason?’
Cheng Yuan smiled. ’If they want a reason, I’ll give them a reason.’
"You two. Come here."
The couple exchanged a terrified glance and instinctively looked toward Gu Tiannan. But Gu Tiannan was struggling to protect himself and was in no position to help.
The two could only help each other up and walk trembling toward Cheng Yuan.
They had just taken their first step when Cheng Yuan suddenly bellowed, "Stop!"
Startled, they froze and stared at Cheng Yuan nervously. "Mr. Cheng, what is it?"
Cheng Yuan’s expression suddenly turned cold and furious as he pointed at the left foot each had stepped forward with. "Who told you to lead with your left foot? That’s one of my taboos! Now die!"
WHOOSH!
Cheng Yuan lunged, grabbing both of their throats.
CRACK!
He crushed their throats.
Even as they drew their last breaths, neither could understand why Cheng Yuan had suddenly decided to kill them.
The rest of the Gu Family were so terrified their legs were shaking, and a few of the more timid ones had already wet themselves.
This Cheng Yuan was too savage. To him, killing a person was no different than killing a chicken.
What terrified the Gu Family most was how bizarre and flimsy Cheng Yuan’s reasons for killing were.
’Leading with your left foot is a taboo?’
’Who knew what other taboos he might have?’
Cheng Yuan couldn’t care less about the psychological trauma he was inflicting on the Gu Family. Right now, he felt utterly gratified.
It was all because Gu Feiyun and Yang Qiuyu had drawn the attention of Yang Haotian. Otherwise, how could Third Uncle Hu have died?
For every person who died from the Hu and Zhu Families, the Gu Family would pay in blood!
He had only killed four of them so far. That was nowhere near enough to match the losses the two families had suffered.
Cheng Yuan stared expressionlessly at the members of the Gu Family and said coldly, "Who else conspired with the father and son, Gu Chen and Gu Feiyun? Step forward now! Otherwise, every single one of you in the Gu Family will die with them!"
