Chapter 32: How Dare You Marry My Daughter?
Li Xun went with Li Shen to the third Pavilion, to meet with Ruo Fei. There, they saw that Ruo Fei's condition was much better than before, thanks to the Age-Saving pills Li Shen had given her and the large supply of pure spiritual energy from the celestial-level spirit stones.
"Mother?" called Li Xun, his eyes glazed over.
Ruo Fei gasped, then turned her head to the side and saw Li Xun standing beside Li Shen. Li Xun hurriedly ran from the wooden bridge to enter the pavilion, then hugged Ruo Fei's body deeply.
"Xun'er?" greeted Ruo Fei.
"I'm glad to see you're much better when you're here, Mother."
Li Shen smiled faintly. He also stepped into the pavilion and stood near them. Ruo Fei's loyal servant looked at the situation. She made her leave, not wanting to disturb the warmth of her master's family.
"Your body is warm, your face also looks bright. Did Father do anything for you, Mother?" asked Li Xun, Ruo Fei smiled.
The woman raised a hand and brushed Li Xun's hair behind her ear. That's right! Li Shen had done a lot to recover her condition. In these two months, Ruo Fei was much more energetic than before.
"Yes. Your father has done a lot for me. So, you shouldn't worry about Mother's condition here," Ruo Fei replied, gently.
Li Xun nodded, glanced gently at Li Shen, then looked back at her mother. If indeed her father could ensure Ruo Fei's safety and condition, then Li Xun would never feel any objection to letting herself be separated from her mother.
"I'm glad that our family is back together again, just like before," Li Xun said, wiping the happy tears from her eyes.
