Chapter 431. A Forgotten Past
Tyler looked up at the sky. It was a beautiful shade of blue, soft raindrops falling gently from above. In the distance, a vibrant rainbow arched across the heavens. Along that rainbow, small snake-like dragons slithered and danced, their bodies shimmering with rainbow light. The air around him was rich with spiritual energy, so dense that it almost glowed.
He took a step forward, drawn toward the sight of a majestic city rising beyond the horizon. As he walked closer, the details became clearer. Towering white pagodas reached for the skies, elegant and spotless. The walls shimmered with a pale glow. This was a city filled with light and order—truly fitting of its name: Bai Providence.
The streets bustled with life. People of various races roamed freely—beastkin, elves, humans, and even some spirit creatures. Merchants hawked their wares, young cultivators showed off, and laughter filled the air.
But Tyler was unseen.
He walked like a ghost, unnoticed and untouched. People passed through him as if he were made of mist. He had become a silent observer, phasing through the crowd like he was never there.
And then, he saw something that made him stop.
A small five-year-old boy with white hair rode upon a ground dragon. The dragon moved slowly and carefully, mindful of its young rider. Behind the child followed a procession of guards and maids, walking with respectful distance.
Tyler’s eyes widened.
"That’s..."
"Young Master Bai, where shall we go play today?" one of the maids asked sweetly.
"Hmm... Let’s see... I heard there’s a place that sells tasty cow milk nearby. Let’s go there!" the boy said in an innocent, cheerful voice.
