Chapter 125. Edge of the World

"I need some Snow Crystal Grass," Elowen said, her voice calm but insistent.
"You can have a full crate of it," Tyler replied without hesitation.
Elowen nodded, adjusting her glasses as Tyler’s servants moved the crates of Snow Crystal Grass. These were the fees Tyler had promised in exchange for the contract.
"So... Are you sure you don’t want to join us? We’re heading north, and having a mage in our crew would be a great help," Tyler offered, hoping to sway her.
Elowen chuckled, a sound that was both melodic and slightly mocking. "Just because I slept with you once doesn’t mean I would follow you like a loyal pet. I’ve slept with all of my previous boyfriends too. Nobody stayed. If you’ve truly fallen for me, how about you stay here with me?" She raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips.
Tyler shook his head, a small smile of his own appearing. "As expected."
Elowen sighed, her playful demeanour fading slightly. She flipped her hand, and a small star-shaped medal appeared in her palm. "You told me you wanted to learn technology, right? Use this and join Starfire Academy." She handed him the medal, the engraved magic circles on its surface glowing faintly.
Tyler took it, a sense of gratitude and determination filling him. "Thank you, Elowen. I won’t forget this."
Meanwhile, Lily Gomes was sharing a joke with Mathilda, who was visibly struggling to keep up. "Guess how to find a blind man on a nude beach?" Lily asked with a mischievous grin.
"Hmmm... Probably by the way he walks?" Mathilda guessed, her brow furrowed in concentration.
