The Rich Cultivator

Chapter 92. Kun Peng Ruins

Kun-pengs are massive beasts that look like hybrids of fish and birds. They tend to have fish-like bodies, but their pectoral fins have been replaced by bird-like wings, their mouths are bird-like beaks, and their caudal fins basically look like fish fins, but placed horizontally, like whale flukes, and resemble bird tail feathers. Additionally, their dorsal and pelvic fins look similar to their tail fins.

Kun Peng are rare mythical creatures like dragons and phoenixes. That’s why the news of the inheritance made a big wave across surrounding territories. Many adventurers, merchants, sect disciples, and even pirates are heading towards it.

There is a rumour that a guy got a Kun Peng feather, which was later sold for 10 million Lydia. Another rumour is that the trials inside the ruins are very easy, so easy that one might finish them with their eyes closed. Yet another rumour says that whoever gets the inheritance receives a Kun Peng egg.

Rumours are always exaggerated, but many people believe them. So, everyone is heading towards the ruins.

This vast world is still filled with mystery. Why is most of the world covered in sea? Why are there three moons? Why are there two different energies: Mana and Aura?

Many people don’t know the answers, but that doesn’t mean there are no answers. Only by travelling the sea and the vast ocean can one find answers and opportunities.

Tyler is the same. He has never seen a man-sized shrimp before. He stood on the deck of the boat and looked at these wonderful creatures. On the side of the ship, some men were sitting with fishing rods. Tyler wondered if they could even catch a fish on a moving boat. He didn’t know anything about fishing, so he was confused.

"Tell me about the ruins," Tyler asked Moria, a friend he made on the ship. Moria was also travelling to the ruins to find opportunities. They met three days ago when Tyler boarded, and they hit it off well.

"Is this your first time travelling the sea?" Moria asked. He was not surprised. Even in this world, which is mostly covered by sea, there are people who have never seen the sea before.

The sea is the most mysterious place. It can be heartwarming, lonely, dangerous, or adventurous. In ancient times—no, even now—many beings wanted to leave behind their inheritance. It’s like forming a karma with future generations. Some beings had their own floating islands, which might have been destroyed by catastrophes.

Some ruins emerge when the disabled floating stones of floating islands reactivate and float the whole ruins up.
