Chapter 53: A Conversation with the Representative of the Veilrose Family
Dusk felt wonderful. Today had been nothing short of agonizing for him, but now—now his body brimmed with life once more.

In just a fleeting instant—a heartbeat, even—a man who looked as though he was on death’s doorstep had transformed into someone perfectly healthy, as though he had never been injured at all.
"This... how is this possible?" Caelan muttered in disbelief.
The other two wore similar expressions. After all, this was something completely beyond logic or science.
Was the human body even capable of such miraculous recovery? Even a fool could tell this was unnatural.
Seeing all three of them staring at him wide-eyed as though he were some rare mythical creature, Dusk couldn’t help but feel slightly awkward.
Still, this was undeniably a good thing. Their shocked reactions only meant that the likelihood of securing a partnership had increased substantially.
"So, what do you all think of that little demonstration just now? Just as I said, I’ve recovered—completely. In fact, I’ve never felt better in my entire life," he said with a smile.
