In the mere flick of a finger, all members of the Black Dragon Race were purged from the Ice and Snow Tower. Besides the Black Dragon Race, there was also the Giant Bear Race!

The traitorous Giant Bear Race was also purged by him, without any difficulty—a single thought was all it took. As long as they remained inside the Ice and Snow Tower, Lin Xuan controlled their life and death. He could unleash Celestial Punishment at will, using it on whomever he pleased. He was, in every sense of the word, the Overlord of this place.

The authority of a City Lord was immense. He could punish whomever he pleased, with the only condition being that they were inside the Ice and Snow Tower. Outside of it, his power did not extend.

A bloody storm instantly swept through the entire Ice and Snow Tower. With the two major races—the Black Dragon Race and the Giant Bear Race—purged, the remaining members of the Demon Race were terrified, wondering if they would be next. Some, fearing they would be cleansed, quickly fled. Others, however, chose not to leave.

This was a holy land for Cultivation, after all. Why would they possibly leave? Soon after, Lin Xuan issued a decree: aside from the Black Dragon Race and the Giant Bear Race, no one else would be affected and could remain in the Ice and Snow Tower as usual.

News of him becoming the City Lord of the Ice and Snow Tower spread like wildfire across the entire Demon Race Continent. A human had become the City Lord—a fact that sent shockwaves through the Demon Race. After so many years without one, a City Lord had finally appeared, only for the position to be taken by a human.

Many members of the Demon Race were enraged by this, but there was nothing they could do. Unless Lin Xuan stepped outside, they were utterly powerless against him. Sending more of the Demon Race into the Ice and Snow Tower was futile; Lin Xuan could annihilate them with a wave of his hand, effortlessly.

Upon hearing the news, the Golden Dragon Race and the Demon Fox Race immediately sent people over. No, it would be more accurate to say they all migrated! That’s right, everyone moved, including the Elders. The two great races migrated from their respective hiding places and moved into the tower.

In fact, the Demon Fox Race had merged with the Golden Dragon Race long before, as it was safer for them to stick together. Now that Lin Xuan was the City Lord, he was an absolutely invincible existence—at least, he was invincible here.

Under his control, cultivators at the Essence Pill Stage and above could now enter—provided he allowed it, of course. Any others with Cultivation exceeding the Essence Pill Stage were still barred from entry. Trying to force their way in would only result in being struck by Celestial Punishment, just as before.

"Brother, I knew you could become the City Lord!" Liu Yue’Er exclaimed, throwing herself into Lin Xuan’s arms with a face full of excitement. She never imagined that upon her return to the Ice and Snow Tower, Lin Xuan would already be its City Lord.

Following behind Liu Yue’Er were Jin Wei and the others. They were all able to enter despite their Void Spirit Stage Cultivation, entirely thanks to Lin Xuan’s control. In addition to them were Hu Hong and her people; the entire Demon Fox Race had migrated here, from the youngest to the oldest.

Those with lower Cultivation could enter as well. Under Lin Xuan’s control, those who previously could not withstand the intense gravity were now able to endure it. It was incredibly simple; with just a single thought, he could instantly change the gravity. He could make it as light as he wished—it was even possible to remove the gravity entirely.

The Ice and Snow Tower was a treasure, one that now belonged entirely to Lin Xuan. He could do as he pleased, sending anyone to any floor he wished—such was the power of the City Lord! The only pity was that it couldn’t be moved. If the Ice and Snow Tower were mobile, it would be a terrifying weapon.

If he was displeased with a clan, he could just toss the Ice and Snow Tower at them, crushing their entire territory and leaving no survivors. Of course, that was just a fantasy. ’If this Ice and Snow Tower could really be carried around, I could just crush anyone who annoys me.’

After receiving the inheritance, Lin Xuan knew exactly how to use the Ice and Snow Tower. To put it simply, he was its true master.

"I have to say, you’ve truly left us impressed. Not only was the Ten Thousand Year Golden Dragon Bone not wasted, we actually came out ahead!" Jin Wei was ecstatic. He had originally put his faith in Liu Yue’Er’s judgment and given Lin Xuan this opportunity.

Now that Lin Xuan had actually succeeded, no one in the Golden Dragon Race dared to voice a single complaint. Those who had doubted his ability to become the City Lord were now completely won over. No one had managed to become the City Lord for ages, yet Lin Xuan had now claimed the title. How could they not be astounded?

It was the same for the Demon Fox Race. They were all shocked speechless. They had never dreamed they would be able to set foot in the Ice and Snow Tower; for them, the gravity here was a nightmare that made entry impossible.

The other Demon Race members who hadn’t left

"It was just a stroke of luck, that’s all." Lin Xuan smiled and tapped Liu Yue’Er’s forehead. A bright light glowed on her brow as he said, "You are now the Vice City Lord. Aside from a few reserved privileges, you’ll have no problem exercising most of the authority."

He could actually authorize Liu Yue’Er to be the Vice City Lord. Compared to a Vice City Lord, a Floor Master was pathetically weak. The Vice City Lord’s authority was nearly identical to the City Lord’s; they too could expel people at will with no difficulty.

The Golden Dragon Race was deeply moved by Lin Xuan’s action. Making Liu Yue’Er the Vice City Lord was equivalent to handing over half the control of the tower. Though they trusted Lin Xuan wouldn’t be hostile toward them, having Liu Yue’Er as the Vice City Lord gave them a great deal of peace of mind.

This was precisely Lin Xuan’s intention: to put them at ease. Furthermore, he also granted this same authority to Hu Hong. With two Vice City Lords managing the Ice and Snow Tower, the power would be more balanced. This gave the Demon Fox Race a sense of security as well; after all, Lin Xuan was their Guardian God, so it was only natural that he would provide for them.

After settling these matters, Lin Xuan left the rest of the arrangements to them, having effectively handed over the tower’s management. With the drastic shift in power, many of the other Demon Race members didn’t know what to do. The Ice and Snow Tower had become the domain of the Golden Dragon and Demon Fox Races; it was, for all intents and purposes, their new home.

Fortunately, the new masters weren’t ruthless, and daily life mostly continued as before. However, the things that needed to change had irrevocably changed. Now, absolutely no one dared to provoke the Golden Dragon Race or the Demon Fox Race. Everyone else either cultivated here obediently or chose to scram.

"Brother, what do you plan to do now?" Liu Yue’Er asked, her gaze wavering.

Lin Xuan knew what she was asking about: the situation with Qingcheng Mansion. To be honest, while they were safe for the moment, the overall situation was not optimistic. The Black Dragon Race was undoubtedly lying in wait outside. Their son had been killed; how could they possibly not seek revenge? They were certain to camp outside, ready to besiege the Golden Dragon Race the moment they left the tower!

"What else can we do? For now, we’ll focus on raising our Cultivation here," Lin Xuan said. "After all, we can’t pass through the barrier without reaching Spirit Pill Stage Cultivation." His current Cultivation was only at the Seventh Layer Essence Pill Stage, a long way from the Spirit Pill Stage.
