Chapter 262: The Little Handmaiden of Compassionate Palace
Lu Changyuan could hear his own heart pounding.
He turned his head and looked at Su Youwan. Though she was embroidering, her needlework was messy and erratic.
It seemed this Supreme maiden wasn’t as calm as her expression suggested.
“You’re still looking?!” Qiu Yuehan seethed, her teeth clenched.
She was determined to teach this disobedient Lifebound Spirit a lesson tonight, so she flipped over and pinned Lu Changyuan beneath her.
The Silver-haired Maiden said, “He’ll hit his head that way.”
“What’s it to you?!”
A clear note of anger was already in Qiu Yuehan’s voice, but she never expected the Silver-haired Maiden to say, “Why are you so angry? You should know, back in the Upper Jade Capital, Noodle Granny already betrothed me to Young Master Lu.”
‘What kind of ancient history is she bringing up now?’
Lu Changyuan distinctly remembered refusing, but this Su Youwan kept insisting he had agreed. What he’d promised Noodle Granny was just to look after her descendant… not *this* kind of looking after.
He was just about to speak when his head was lifted and pillowed on a pair of warm, supple legs.
They were Su Youwan’s legs.
The Silver-haired Maiden had walked over at some point, lifted Lu Changyuan’s head, and rested it on her lap. The thin fabric over her legs hid practically nothing.
A sweet, gentle scent of sandalwood incense drifted into his nostrils.
Lu Changyuan was momentarily dazed.
Qiu Yuehan grew even angrier and took her fury out on Lu Changyuan.
The Silver-haired Maiden’s hair veiled Lu Changyuan’s eyes. For a time, all he could hear was the scratch of a needle on an embroidery frame and… some other strange sounds.
“What are you angry for? You’re the one getting all the pleasure, and I’m still here serving you. It’s like I really came here to be your maid.”
Qiu Yuehan was the young mistress, and Su Youwan was the one doing the serving. Looked at this way, the Little Ancestor of the Compassionate Palace really had come to be a handmaiden.
“Do you think I’m as easy to fool as my junior sister?”
“If I really wanted to fight you for him, would I still be untouched? I waited until you had your fill before I came. Why do you hold such hostility toward me?”
Qiu Yuehan was about to retort, but she suddenly let out a muffled groan, her concentration faltering.
She was feeling him now.
Su Youwan didn’t look at the two of them, concentrating instead on her embroidery. A beautiful pattern quickly took shape in her hands.
“Youwan didn’t come here to destroy your relationship, just to join it. Besides, the thread connecting you two is very tight. No one could break it.”
‘Those were certainly nice words to hear.’
Lu Changyuan suddenly exhaled a hot breath. Su Youwan pressed her lips together tightly.
It wasn’t that the Silver-haired Maiden was absolutely insistent that Lu Changyuan marry her.
It’s just that if she lost her virginity now, it would be difficult to explain to her Master when she returned to the Compassionate Palace.
Her Master would know just by looking at her, and if she was forced to reveal who did it, it would be a huge problem.
She made up her mind. For now, she wouldn’t let Lu Changyuan know her Master was still alive, nor would she let her Master know just how far her relationship with Lu Changyuan had gone.
She was deceiving both of them.
Besides, if her Master found out, she probably wouldn’t be allowed to see Young Master Lu ever again.
‘And that would never do.’
As for Lu Changyuan’s wife… Su Youwan had already figured out what to say to Xia Lianxue. In her eyes, the Little Fairy in a White Skirt and the Black Skirt Fairy were never going to be difficult to handle.
The hardest one to deal with was Lu Changyuan himself. As long as he made up his mind, no amount of opposition from anyone else would matter. Fortunately, she had played her part well, seizing both the opportunity and the future.
Black hair and white hair wove together into a giant net, trapping Lu Changyuan completely, rendering him unable to move.
A feeling of suffocation washed over him.
Su Youwan’s voice rippled with a slight tremor. “The Celestial Dao Grand Competition is on break for ten days. You two don’t plan on staying like this the whole time, do you?”
No one answered.
