Chapter 35: An Impossible Mission
"Mom, has Brother Kai gone crazy in that short time?" Nana asked with a worried expression, tugging Liora's clothes repeatedly.
Liora naturally was also worried, as she thought that his son had gone crazy for real this time.
"Kai, are you okay? Is there something wrong?" Liora asked worriedly.
"We don't need to live in some fancy places like this. Besides, our home is still in a good place. Let's go back." Liora smiled bitterly, thinking that his son had gone crazy because he probably failed in getting some room for them.
When Kai was a few meters away from them, he stopped acting childishly and looked at them with a weird expression. "What are you guys thinking about? Let's go inside our new home."
Kai turned back and raised his hand, then walked forward, heading to the apartment.
When he noticed that no one followed him, he looked back and shouted in annoyance. "Come on, let's go. What are you waiting for!"
"Son, it's okay. We can go back to our original home that's far more comfortable than living in a place like this." Darius smiled bitterly when he looked at his son's messy state.
"What are you talking about?!" Kai frowned, looking at his father seriously this time.
"I mean, it's okay if you fail in something. People wouldn't always succeed in doing things, you know." Darius smiled and dropped motivational words.
Kai's frown deepened for a second, then he asked with a mocking smile. "Don't tell me that you guys think I've gone crazy because I failed in getting some room for us?"
