Chapter 15: A Deal
"Hahaha, you don't need to worry about it." Kai laughed and waved his hand for a while before continuing with a serious expression.
"If we really met an extremely strong monster that we couldn't handle, we would simply take a detour."
Kai then tapped his feet on the ground as he continued again. "However, I will be the one who judges if we can handle it or not since you don't know my abilities yet I know yours."
When Cedric heard it, he was taken aback by Kai's statement and decided to take a quick look at the young man's expression.
'This young man is really not simple.' Cedric smiled while blocking the incoming attack with a punch, forcing the wolf back.
"Alright, I'll accompany you then, but let's get it done as soon as possible since the others don't seem to be able to hold on much longer." Cedric agreed with Kai's request, as he noticed that the other people's situation was worsening as the seconds went by.
"It's a deal then. You just need to hold the wolf so that it won't run while I finish this one quickly." Kai immediately went straight towards the wolf that he had fought briefly before.
As Kai charged forward, his figure became a blur as he closed the gap between himself and the wolf.
Unlike previously, this time he used his full strength, as he somehow felt uneasy and was afraid that something might happen to his parents.
With his superior agility, the Darkfang Wolf barely had time to react before Kai was already within striking range.
The beast growled and lunged, baring its fangs and flashing its claws toward Kai's chest. However, Kai tilted his body slightly, as his movement was clean and fluid.
