Chapter 300: Fatal Danger
"If you want to die so badly, I'll be happy to oblige!"
Murderous intent flooded the young girl's eyes. With a flick of her fair hand, two daggers appeared, glinting with a sinister light.
Lin Feng's pupils constricted. He could feel a dangerous aura emanating from the two daggers.
In the next instant, the girl's figure shot forward like a bolt of lightning. Her daggers struck with the tricky, bizarre movements of a viper's tongue, making them impossible to defend against!
"Hmph!"
Seeing this, Lin Feng let out a low grunt. He brought his long blade around and slashed viciously forward!
CLANG!
The sound of metal on metal rang out as dazzling sparks erupted from the point of impact!
SWISH!
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed as he abruptly retreated. 'I get it now,' he thought. 'I'm no match for her in a contest of pure brute force. Outsmarting her is the only way to win!'
Seeing Lin Feng pull back, a cruel smile played on the girl's lips. With a flick of her wrist, her other dagger shot toward Lin Feng's throat!
The girl was clearly trying to press her advantage, but Lin Feng wasn't about to let her succeed so easily!
With a flip of his left hand, a Yellow-Grade Short Sword appeared in his grasp, and he struck toward his opponent's vitals!
SHING!
The clear, melodious ring of a sword suddenly echoed. The girl felt the hair on her arms stand on end, and her expression grew incredibly grim. 'This Lin Feng is more than he seems!'
But the girl was no pushover. The instant Lin Feng drew his short sword, she advanced instead of retreating, closing the distance in a flash. A chilling, murderous aura erupted from her.
Seeing this, Lin Feng's eyes went cold. He swung his short sword, creating a brilliant flourish of silver light that enveloped the girl.
This time, Lin Feng no longer engaged in straightforward close-quarters combat. Instead, he adopted a variety of nimble and tricky attack patterns.
This forced the girl's body to tremble slightly, and even her breathing grew ragged!
Seeing this, the cold smirk on Lin Feng's face widened. As he looked at the girl's now slightly pale face, the corner of his mouth quirked up. 'I've finally found her weakness!'
'Her attacks and speed are incredible, but her defense isn't nearly as strong.'
'She's still a handful, but at least I've found a weak point!'
The girl noticed Lin Feng's expression, and her heart skipped a beat. She didn't know what he was thinking, but she could clearly sense he was about to make a new move.
She didn't dare to be careless any longer. Circulating her Inner Strength, she executed a profound footwork technique and retreated as swiftly as a gust of wind.
Lin Feng frowned as the girl suddenly fell back, but his expression returned to normal a moment later.
A cold smirk formed on his lips. 'Now that I know your weakness, do you really think you can escape?'
Lin Feng circulated the Inner Strength within his body. Tapping his toes to the ground, he shot off to the side—directly in the direction the girl was fleeing!
The moment the girl vanished, Lin Feng made his decision. He chose to follow her without a second thought. Her weakness had been exposed, and he had to press the advantage and finish this.
Otherwise, even if he managed to rescue Su Yanxue, there would be endless trouble later on.
After all, he could tell that direct confrontation was her weakness. Her true strength lay in assassination!
If he let her get away, she might strike at Su Yanxue while they were trying to leave. By then, it would be too late!
WHOOSH!
Just as Lin Feng stepped into the dense forest, the girl's graceful figure materialized out of thin air, two sharp blades in hand, and she lunged at him!
CLANG!
Lin Feng's sword and the girl's daggers clashed wildly in midair. The two figures became a tangled blur, locked in a desperate struggle.
But soon, Lin Feng found himself at a disadvantage. The girl's martial techniques were exquisite, and her moves were so varied and unpredictable that the pressure on him mounted intensely.
THUD!
A fist slammed into Lin Feng's shoulder, and his entire arm went numb. He nearly lost his grip on his weapon!
Having landed a successful blow, the girl gracefully retreated. A cold smile touched her lips. 'In my experience, no one has ever lasted more than a few exchanges against my assassination techniques!'
"Heh! You're done for!"
Before her words had even faded, she thrust a dagger with vicious cruelty toward Lin Feng's abdomen!
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. He brought his short sword across his body, blocking the girl's attack.
Lin Feng had dodged the blow. He leaped into the air, his short sword transforming into a streak of light that shot toward the girl!
The girl was shocked. She never imagined Lin Feng could launch such an attack. She retreated rapidly while simultaneously striking out with her palm!
SMACK!
The short sword collided with her fair hand. Using the force of the impact, Lin Feng shot backward, putting some distance between them.
The girl's expression turned grim. She, too, had realized that Lin Feng's skills were anything but simple.
Lin Feng, for his part, didn't press the attack either. His face was a mask of intense vigilance.
'This girl's skills are incredible,' Lin Feng thought, his eyes narrowing as a sharp glint flashed within them. 'Looks like a tough fight is unavoidable today.'
The girl, however, looked eager to continue, her gaze on Lin Feng growing even colder.
SWOOSH!
This time, the girl didn't hesitate. Her figure moved like a phantom as she dashed toward Lin Feng.
Seeing this, Lin Feng's expression shifted slightly. The girl was even more skilled than he had imagined.
'A fight like this won't be over quickly.' He couldn't afford to be arrogant, so he immediately adjusted his stance, preparing to meet the girl's ferocious assault.
SWOOSH!
This time, the girl directly unleashed her specialty: her Assassination Technique. Her figure moved like a phantom as she rushed in for the kill!
In response, Lin Feng channeled all his Inner Strength into his right leg and unleashed a powerful roundhouse kick aimed straight at the girl's head.
The girl dodged by turning her body slightly, simultaneously thrusting both her daggers toward Lin Feng's calf!
As his leg came under attack, Lin Feng dropped low, barely evading the killing blow. He then kicked off the ground and shot to the side, dodging her fatal strike.
Immediately after, Lin Feng leaped into the air again. He unleashed a flurry of kicks so fast they left afterimages, aimed straight for the girl's chest!
BANG!
Just then, the girl leaped backward. Lin Feng's kicks slammed solidly into a tree trunk, causing the towering ancient tree to shudder.
