The Capital's Dragon Doctor

Chapter 163: Sonic Boom

Lin Feng took a single step forward, his figure vanishing in an instant. The next moment, he was already standing right in front of the tiger's head.

BANG!

He threw a punch straight at the tiger's eye socket. The massive Fist Gang tore through the air with a piercing sonic boom, instantly striking the tiger's eye.

AWOOO...

The tiger let out a blood-curdling howl. A line of blood instantly appeared on its massive eyeball, and a moment later, Lin Feng's punch completely obliterated its head.

Its enormous head exploded, spattering blood and brains everywhere, instantly staining a large patch of the nearby ground red.

The tiger's ten-foot-tall corpse fell flat on its back, convulsed a few times, and then went still, all signs of life gone.

Lin Feng's gaze gradually turned ice-cold. The tiger had been so vicious; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to be so decisive and lethal.

He slowly walked forward and glanced at the tiger's corpse on the ground. This tiger not only possessed formidable strength but also an incredibly robust physique.

Most importantly, the tiger was intelligent. That was why Lin Feng had no intention of taming it. A creature this cunning by nature would never submit to anyone.

He dragged the tiger's carcass to a distant spot and began to dig into the ground. After all, the mountains were teeming with wild beasts, and there was no telling if a more powerful creature was lurking nearby.

If something were to be drawn by the scent of blood, wouldn't he be in danger?

So, it was best to leave this place as soon as possible. Along the way, he had done his best to avoid fighting powerful demonic beasts. After all, his current strength was insufficient; he needed to grow stronger over time.

Just as Lin Feng was digging, his eyelid suddenly twitched twice. He immediately stopped what he was doing and retreated backward in a flash!

SWISH!

A flash of cold, green light streaked by. A rock behind Lin Feng was sliced clean through, split into two pieces, a testament to the terrifying power of that cold gleam.

WHOOSH!

At that moment, another longsword attacked, aiming straight for the vital point of Lin Feng's throat. The blade left a series of afterimages in the air, startling him.

Lin Feng caught the sword's edge between two fingers. With a flick of his wrist, he deflected the blade, then shot his fingers out again. In that brief instant, he had seized the sword's hilt.

With a swing of one arm, he threw the sword with a reverse grip. It carved an arc through the air before embedding itself in a massive tree trunk.

The thick trunk was pierced straight through, leaving only the slightly trembling hilt exposed to the air.

"Come out!"

Lin Feng let out a low shout, his fists clenched. He shot out like a bolt of lightning, his speed so fast it kicked up a gale-force wind.

PFFT!

With a soft sound, Lin Feng appeared right beside an ancient tree and slammed his fist into it.

BOOM!

The entire ancient tree collapsed under the force of the blow. But Lin Feng didn't stop. He knew an attack like that would only make the trunk lean; it wouldn't truly defeat the enemy hiding in the shadows. So, he shot straight up into the sky.

BANG!

And there, above Lin Feng, a burly man appeared. He held a longsword, its edge shimmering with a cold light as he brought it down directly on Lin Feng's head.

CLANG!

Lin Feng didn't dodge or evade. He extended his right index finger and blocked the sword's edge directly. The blade struck his finger but failed to cut it in the slightest, merely bending it back a little.

The black-clad man's brow furrowed, his eyes fixed on Lin Feng. He couldn't understand it. 'I'm a Late Innate Stage expert!'

From his perspective, Lin Feng should have been an ordinary Martial Artist, perhaps at the Mid-Innate Stage. But for that last strike, he had used all his strength, yet Lin Feng had blocked it with a single finger.

"Damn it. Looks like I was careless."

The burly man's brow creased slightly. Without hesitation, he let go of the longsword Lin Feng now controlled and swung a powerful left leg in a sweeping kick aimed at Lin Feng's waist.

It was a powerful and heavy whip kick, one that even a typical Late Stage of Innate expert would find difficult to block head-on.

But Lin Feng still didn't dodge. In that instant, he raised his own left leg to meet the whistling kick, striking the burly man directly on the shin.

BANG!

A dull thud echoed out. The black-clad man was sent stumbling backward by the force of Lin Feng's kick, while Lin Feng himself hadn't moved an inch.

The burly man was completely stunned. It had been a long time since his strength had been matched by an opponent, but today, he had run into a monster like this. He had personally felt the excruciating pain from that last exchange.

He knew he had picked a fight with the wrong person and didn't immediately rush forward to attack again.

"I am Zhou Hu, an Elder of Tiger Hall. Might I ask for your esteemed name, friend? We have no grievances or grudges, so why did you attack me so viciously?"

Zhou Hu had now shed his arrogant and domineering attitude. He was no fool; he knew that since Lin Feng dared to venture here alone, it proved he had nothing to fear.

And based on the strength Lin Feng had just displayed, he was definitely stronger than him. Zhou Hu was already a Late Innate Stage master, yet he was completely powerless against Lin Feng. That alone spoke volumes.

Moreover, that side kick from his opponent had sent him flying. Such a powerful attack was something few even among Late Stage of Innate Martial Artists could achieve.

"I attacked *you* viciously? Friend, do I need to remind you of what *you* just did?!"

Hearing this, Lin Feng stared at Zhou Hu with a scornful expression and said, "A piece of trash like you is announcing your name and affiliation? Where do you get the nerve?"

Although the man hadn't stated his reason, Lin Feng could obviously guess it. Even an idiot would know he'd just been ambushed.

He wasn't sure of the exact motive, but any Ancient Martial Artist appearing on Wo Hu Mountain right now was likely here for the Red Flame Fruit.

This world was ruled by the law of the jungle, but he still found such despicable actions utterly contemptible.

"Kid, has anyone ever told you that you're arrogant? People like that tend to die young!"

Zhou Hu's expression turned ugly. He had indeed been the one to launch the sneak attack, but he never expected Lin Feng to curse him to his face, leaving him with absolutely no dignity.

"Hmph!"

Lin Feng snorted coldly. He had no good impression whatsoever of this kind of treacherous villain who crawled out of some unknown minor sect.

"Since you refuse to see reason, then don't blame me for being ruthless!"
