"Damn it, this guy must be here just to cause trouble. Does he really think he's all that just because he's rich?"
"This kid is way too arrogant. He must have a death wish!"
Wu Tianxiang grew more and more furious, and the surrounding guests looked at Lin Feng with increasing disdain. Some were so agitated they started cursing out loud.
But Lin Feng paid them no mind, simply sitting quietly in his chair and waiting to see who would win the jade.
"One point nine billion."
Wu Tianxiang was silent for a long moment before gritting his teeth. 'This is the highest-quality jade I've ever seen in the Mortal Realm. I can't just give it up.'
"Heh. Wu Tianxiang, are you sure you want to keep fighting me on this?"
A cold smile played on Lin Feng's lips as his gaze swept over Wu Tianxiang.
"Who the hell do you think you are? You think you're in the same league as me? I suggest you give up and get lost. Otherwise, you might just end up as a corpse on the street tonight."
Hearing Lin Feng's taunt, Wu Tianxiang finally snapped.
Though he was somewhat wary of Lin Feng's background, he refused to back down. This jade was simply too precious. Even the top young masters from the Capital City were drooling over it; there was no way he would just hand it over.
"Hahaha! You've got some nerve!"
Lin Feng burst out laughing, amused that Wu Tianxiang would actually dare to threaten him.
His laughter only made Wu Tianxiang even more furious. "Kid, what are you laughing at?"
"Nothing. I was just wondering if you're missing a few screws, or if you were kicked in the head by a donkey."
Lin Feng shot Wu Tianxiang a cool glance, then looked away.
"Fine! You're something else, kid. You've got guts. I'll remember you!"
Wu Tianxiang trembled with rage. 'I'm the great young master of the Wu Group! When have I ever been insulted like this?'
But now, his attention was fully focused on the stone on the stage.
"Two billion!"
He clenched his fists, his eyes practically bulging as he stared at the stone, his heart in turmoil.
He was now caught in a dilemma. He couldn't bear the thought of giving up this Spirit Stone.
But if he kept bidding, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to afford it.
After all, while he was the young master of an incredibly wealthy family, he'd also spent extravagantly over the years. His personal assets weren't all that large, and the liquid cash he could access was just a fraction of his total worth.

The rest of the crowd was equally dumbfounded. They could only stare at Lin Feng, their faces masks of pure shock.

If the crowd had initially looked at Lin Feng with contempt and disdain, now all that remained was fear and shock.

Just then, the auctioneer stepped forward once more.
"Three billion, going once!"
His voice trembled slightly. After all, even a professional auctioneer like him had never handled the sale of a single item for three billion. The experience completely shattered his worldview.
"Three billion, going twice!"
"Three billion, going three times!"
The auctioneer took another deep breath and slowly brought the gavel down!
"Congratulations, the jade is yours!"
The auctioneer walked up to Lin Feng, smiling as he extended his right hand.
"Right. Thank you for your trouble."
Lin Feng nodded, slipped the jade into his pocket, and then, without a moment's hesitation, took Su Yanxue by the hand and walked straight out of the auction house. He had made out like a bandit at this auction.
"Who on earth is that guy? Why have I never heard of him before?"
"He's definitely no ordinary person, but I have no idea what his actual background is."
"Whatever his identity, we made a killing today! That jade sold for a whopping three billion. It's definitely one of the most valuable treasures at the auction today!"

"Boss, the investigation is complete."

A sinister smile spread across Wu Tianxiang's face as his gaze followed the direction where Lin Feng had disappeared.
'Hey, kid. Mark my words. You'll pay for this in blood.'
The others still present saw Wu Tianxiang's chilling smile and shuddered involuntarily, as if they had just seen a ghost. They quickly looked away, terrified that his wrath might turn on them.
