Chapter 93: Retreat
Lin Feng's eyes flew open. He crossed his arms to guard his chest and stomped fiercely on the ground, launching himself into the air. Simultaneously, his legs let out a sharp whistle as they descended, kicking down toward Li Er's head.
BAM!
Lin Feng unleashed a flurry of kicks. Li Er was completely unable to parry, forced to stumble back awkwardly.
Just then, Lin Feng's feet suddenly left the ground as he leaped several meters away. His body seemed to hang in the air for a moment before he spun around and sent a vicious side kick flying at Li Er.
BAM!
Li Er had no time to dodge. Lin Feng's foot slammed viciously into his shoulder, and he staggered, nearly falling to the ground.
His expression changed. He had already been lightly injured by the previous blow, but Li Er gritted his teeth and held on. He swept his arms out horizontally, aiming for Lin Feng, trying to seize the initiative.
But just then, Lin Feng spread his arms, and his body descended from mid-air like a gliding feather.
As he fell, his right leg whipped out, viciously striking Li Er's stomach.
Li Er grunted. It felt as if his stomach had been hit by a cannonball. He spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying backward.
He lowered his center of gravity, digging his feet into the ground to stop himself. Two long, deep drag marks instantly appeared in the grass.
THUD!
By the time he stood up, Lin Feng was already upon him again. He gasped; the last kick felt like it had shattered his internal organs.
Li Er knew he had to fight for his life. 'If I don't go all out now, I'm dead once he gets close.'
With a sudden roar, he thrust his arms out, his fingers formed into claws, and he lunged for Lin Feng's neck. If this attack landed, Lin Feng would be finished.
Lin Feng's expression was glacial as he stared at Li Er, killing intent surging in his eyes. He clenched one hand into a fist and swung, unleashing his most practiced technique—the Inch Fist!
BAM!
With a muffled thud, Lin Feng's palms slammed into Li Er's claws. Li Er's arms were instantly dislocated by the impact. Lin Feng was already right next to him and slammed a vicious kick into his chest.
A large section of his chest immediately caved in, and his body toppled to the side. With his chest already partially collapsed, the metallic tang of blood filled his throat, and he coughed up a spray of gore.
Li Er's face turned deathly pale, and his body swayed, on the verge of collapse.
Lin Feng seized the opportunity, darting forward and grabbing Li Er by the throat. Li Er was already drained of strength and didn't even resist as Lin Feng lifted him into the air.
"You..."
SLAP!
Whatever Li Er was about to say was cut short by a sharp slap from Lin Feng.
Lin Feng's eyes burned like torches, unnervingly cold. He spoke lightly.
"I'll give you two choices. First, tell me what that old bastard Wang has planned next, and I'll spare your life. But if you dare lie, I'll make you wish you were dead."
"Second, you die. And it will be a gruesome death. I have no problem letting you experience a state where you can neither live nor die!"
"Cough, cough..."
Li Er coughed violently, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as he stared intently at Lin Feng.
"Heh, I'll admit, you're impressive. If I'm to die today, falling at your hands is a worthy end."
Li Er sneered. "Since you want to know the Prince's plans, then listen closely. I guarantee you'll regret what you've done today."
"Oh?"
At his words, Lin Feng raised an eyebrow.
Li Er looked at Lin Feng and continued, "The Prince said that he will personally deal with you and your woman. He's going to torture you both to death!"
With that, Li Er burst into maniacal laughter. His smile was filled with mockery, and the shrill sound seemed to vent all the rage in his heart.
"Heh."
After hearing Li Er's words, a cruel expression crossed Lin Feng's face. He gave a cold smile. "Do you really think I'd believe that?"
"But I'm still furious. How dare you threaten me using the people I care about."
Lin Feng's grip gradually tightened, his fingers slowly clenching. His eyes were like ice.
CRACK!
"AARGH!"
Li Er screamed in agony. He felt as if his neck was about to snap.
"Let me go... I'll talk..."
He managed to choke out.
"Too late."
Lin Feng said coldly, "Since you dared to target the people I care about, don't blame me for being merciless!"
Lin Feng suddenly released his grip. Li Er collapsed to the ground, his eyes bloodshot and filled with profound terror.
As Lin Feng slowly approached, Li Er shivered with fright. He asked, trembling, "Who... who are you? How... how can you be so powerful?"
Lin Feng planted his right foot on Li Er's chest. Looking down at him, he said coldly, "I already told you. You're not worthy of knowing."
"What are you doing? Are you going to kill me...? You can't kill me! My... my father is... is an Elder of the Fei... Sect!"
Li Er's eyes were wide with terror as he stared at Lin Feng. He had never imagined that Lin Feng would actually kill him.
"There's no one in this world I don't dare to kill."
Lin Feng's eyes were filled with indifference. He looked at Li Er and sneered, "Since you dared to provoke me, you should have considered the consequences. Did you really think having someone backing you would save your life?"
Lin Feng slowly raised his hands. When Li Er saw this, his face contorted in horror. He knew Lin Feng was about to kill him, and his eyes filled with a desperate plea.
"I was wrong... I beg... you... don't kill me... I'm still young... I..."
Li Er pleaded, his face a mask of misery. He was truly afraid now. This man's methods were too vicious; he had no way to fight back. And he had also realized something.
'Even though Lin Feng is an Innate Master, his power is definitely beyond that of the Innate realm. It's like he fell from a higher realm for some reason. My own strength is only at the First Grade of the Xuan Rank; I'm no match for this guy at all.'
BAM!
Lin Feng completely ignored Li Er's pleas. His fingers clamped around Li Er's throat; a slight increase in pressure was all it would take to end his life.
"No! I don't want to die!"
Li Er finally broke down. He struggled frantically, his hands flailing in the air as he tried to break free from Lin Feng's grasp. He was truly panicking. He didn't want to die.
But it was all futile. Lin Feng's fingers squeezed harder. A purplish-red color spread across Li Er's face as he gasped for air. Deprived of oxygen, his face swelled and his eyes began to bulge from their sockets.
